Delighted to be in London today presenting findings from patient-led research into the lived experience of those whose cholesterol levels are not at target. Thank you to our collaborators Celina Gorre Fernanda de Carvalho and Tanya Hall; our research team Elisabeth Oehrlein, PhD, MS Joe V. and supporters Jean Kanan Nila Jacob Flavia Perna 🇧🇷 🇨🇭 🇺🇸 and steering committee members Susan Hennessy Patsy Petrie Assoc CIPD; Prof’s Kotseva & Kazi.
Today, our Executive Director, Neil Johnson, proudly presented an e-poster at the European Society of Cardiology’s Congress in London on Global Heart Hub’s patient-led study, Insights from Patients living with Elevated Cholesterol (IPEC). It is a tremendous achievement to have the patient perspective included at such a prestigious international scientific meeting. The IPEC e-poster focuses on the importance of the first discussion between a patient and their healthcare professional after diagnosis of hypercholesterolemia and how that interaction could help change the course of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (#ASCVD), the leading cause of mortality worldwide.
