If you’re a parent with college-bound kids, you’ll want to sit down for this… It will cost an undergrad student $66K in tuition alone to attend The University of Southern California this fall. Meanwhile, The University of Buenos Aires, which is ranked HIGHER (link in comments), offers undergraduate degrees FREE of charge for everyone, regardless of nationality! You may need to go back and read that last sentence again. I’ll wait… Here’s my question: Why on Earth isn’t every U.S. high school guidance counselor SCREAMING about this at TOP volume while standing on a cafeteria table? ❌ NO, the student doesn’t have to be a citizen of Argentina! ❌ NO, they don’t surrender their U.S. passport or citizenship! ❌ NO, they don’t have to remain in Buenos Aires after graduation! ✅ YES, they WILL want to be at least conversant in Spanish … … but if a student were to start learning Spanish as a high school freshman, they could be fluent long before they matriculate! And, over four years, they/you will have saved over a quarter of a million dollars! #LocalProblemsOftenHaveGlobalSolutions #EducationArbitrageIsAThing #SouthAmericaFeelsLikeTheFuture

Most Canadian provinces – including Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia – have now distributed their allocations of study permit applications among institutions and schools and put their PAL plans in place. As of yesterday, we can add Ontario to that list but with a significant twist: the province has opted to distribute 96% of its study permit allocation to publicly funded colleges and universities, leaving almost none for the province's language schools or private universities, and none at all for career colleges. We have the details and early stakeholder response in our featured item below. !!! #studyincanada #educationabroad #goabroad

Why are Alberta students treated like "pariah" by the rest of the provinces? My daughter is trying to secure additional funding to complete her DVM degree. But, so many foundations say since you are not studying in Canada we won't support you. But, do they realize that an Alberta vet student does not meet the residency requirements to BE ALLOWED to study in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, B.C. ,P.E.I. (basically anywhere in Canada except Calgary) and since she doesn't speak french, Quebec is not a viable option. B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba have an INTER-PROVINCIAL agreement for students. Last I checked ....Alberta is pretty close to all those locations...Trans- Canada highway takes you from B.C. THROUGH Alberta to Saskatchewan and then Manitoba. Perhaps Manitoba could pretend they never heard of us....But B.C. and Saskatchewan....are connected to us by a provincial border. So how can they justify accepting international applicants...actually saving specific seats for international students...just not Albertan's. What is happening to Canada???
