In a move to create more robust #wellness offerings at lululemon, the brand has expanded its membership program to include outside fitness and wellness brands. The brand has expanded the program with the introduction of wellness- and wellbeing-focused “Partner Perks,” which launched in August. With the new initiative, #Lululemon is leaning more heavily into the category by “providing guests with special access to wellness perks from a collective of like-minded brands,” according to a company statement. New and existing consumers will have access to the perks under the #membershipprogram, which will remain free to join.

Gym = fitness, wellness = holistic With the continuing merging of health, fitness and well being offerings, Gympass announced their rebrand this week to Wellhub. This rebrand, for a platform valued at $2.4 billion, signals the ambition to expand beyond just fitness and into corporate wellness and areas encompassing mindfulness, therapy, nutrition and sleep. The name aligns with the magnitude of their mission: “to make every company a wellness company”. Great branding message but what else would I love to see? The increasing collaboration of professionals and data through these platforms. Increaed professional communication would break down silos and be able to offer true preventative health and rehab coaching. What does this mean in practice? When people have a health event or an injury, they start or stay active, rehab is personalised, clients are empowered and in control, economic productivity remains. Great read for Australian fitness and wellness businesses looking to build a winning wellness and recovery space! WellnessSpace Brands President Kevin Conaway, who has over 35 years of R&D in this space, shares valuable insights on how to satisfy members' cravings for wellness and recovery while gaining the ROI that your business needs. One of the standout points in the article is the emphasis on location. Conaway recommends giving your wellness space maximum visibility and awareness possible as a focal point in your club. It's like a restaurant, if you drive by and there are no cars in the parking lot, you keep going until you find one with the line because you know that's the one that's going to be good. Check out the rest of the interview to learn more about serviceability and members' desires.
