Yesterday the GOALPrime Organisation Nigeria (GPON) Zamfara team carried out an official visit to 13 selected schools in Anka Local Government Area (LGA) as part of the ongoing project implementation. The visit focused on key areas to strengthen educational outcomes and student well-being: Engagement with Head Teachers – The team collected enrollment data while assessing attendance trends, retention rates, and barriers to access. Learner Profiling Preparation – School leaders were briefed on the upcoming learner profiling exercise, ensuring they understood its purpose in tailoring educational resources to students' needs. School Clubs Assessment – The team evaluated the presence and functionality of school clubs, gathering insights on student participation and identifying challenges limiting extracurricular activities. Facility Inspection – A crucial part of the visit was assessing gender-segregated latrines and overall hygiene standards to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, especially for girls. This visit reinforced our commitment to fostering an inclusive and conducive learning environment, ensuring that educational initiatives go beyond academics to support the holistic development of every student in Anka LGA. Transforming the Narrative: A Call to Action for Quality Education in Orunwa Meet Adebisi, a bright and ambitious 10-year-old who lives in Orunwa, a rural community in Nigeria. Adebisi's love for learning is evident in her determination to attend school every day, despite the daunting challenges she faces. Every morning, Adebisi embarks on a grueling 2-hour trek to the nearest secondary school in a neighboring community. She navigates through dense forests, crosses rickety bridges, and avoids wild animals, all in pursuit of a quality education. Adebisi's story is not unique. Many children in Orunwa, Ifodo, Isomo, and Oke-Eki communities face similar challenges, with some even dropping out of school due to the difficulties in accessing education. This is where our project, Transform the Narrative, comes in. Our mission is to establish a secondary school in Orunwa, providing children like Adebisi with access to quality education, closer to home. By supporting this project, we can: - Provide a safe and conducive learning environment for children in Orunwa and surrounding communities - Reduce the risk of accidents and attacks on children who currently trek long distances to school - Increase access to quality education, leading to improved academic performance and better life outcomes - Empower children, especially girls, to reach their full potential and become active contributors to their communities Join us in transforming the narrative for children in Orunwa and beyond. Together, we can create a brighter future for generations to come. Support our project today and help us bring quality education closer to home for children like Adebisi! #Project Amount: 2.4 million# #mybethechaneproject #educationforall #ProjectTransformtheNarrative #EstablishingaSecondaryschoolinOrunwa Teach For Nigeria Teach For All

Learnovate is a good initiative for addressing fundamental and structural constraints in learning at its primacy. To add value to its components; I suggest the inclusion of contents/principles that would engender universal values on our common humanity, good governance and sustain our common habitat - holistic learning for global peace and sustainable development.
Alert!🥳 We are excited to announce that Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA) has received an award from Oando Foundation to implement a key educational project tagged #LEARNOVATE aimed at addressing learning poverty by enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy skills of pupils in primary 1-3 in public schools. The project will be implemented across selected local government areas in 3 pilot states; Ebonyi, Sokoto and Plateau. As an organization whose core mission is leading education reforms, we are excited about this partnership with Oando Foundation to scale our shared interest and commitment to quality education in Nigeria through strong foundational learning. #SDG4 #LearnovateNG

Happy World Teachers Day! 🌻 In Mubende district, Uganda, Mbaziira Hadadi’s innovative teaching approach shows that investing in teachers isn’t just a priority—it’s an imperative. Globally, we need 44 million additional trained teachers by 2030 to meet education needs, but it’s not just about numbers. Teachers need better working conditions, professional growth, and recognition. By supporting teachers like Mbaziira through initiatives like VVOB’s LEAP project, we’re addressing the teacher shortage both qualitatively and quantitatively. Let’s commit to investing in teachers today for a better tomorrow. #TeachersMissing #WorldTeachersDay #LEAP
