How do you evaluate your mission statement? Last week we took a deep dive into what we want our ultimate impact to be as a charity and how we work to action it. As our team grows, and our reach with it, it's vital that we maintain a shared understanding of the how, why and what we do. Hosted by Anaghaa of ImpactEd Group, it was great to combine individual ambitions, inputs and outcome into our Theory of Change. We want our #impact to be the best it can and it's an important part of the progress to make sure we all know how. We have checks and balances in finances, branding and comms, so why not purpose? How do you prevent mission drift? While we're still updating ours, we'd love to know.

I’ve been to a lot of business conferences this year. And let’s be real—they’re ALL the f*cking same. You walk in, see a bunch of booths lined up, and then it begins: “Hey, let me show you how we can help you with XYZ.” You’re standing there, nodding, pretending to care while they hand you a free pen you’ll lose by EOD. So this year at CustomerX 2024 in Boston, we’re gonna try something new. Here’s what we’re doing at Zealot's booth: 1. You get 30 seconds to pitch us your biggest customer marketing problem. 2. If we can’t give you a real, practical solution on how Zealot can help fix it, we’ll donate $50 to a charity of your choice. (Yes, seriously. Hold us to it. We’ll have donation receipts ready) 3. And because we know you’re tired of getting the same old swag, we’ve got some giveaways that are actually useful. See you in Boston.

Helping nonprofits build confidence and clarity in their fundraising. Coaching - Training - Strategy
Our attitude about fundraising matters - and one way we can adjust our attitude is to reexamine and reframe how we approach the work. For example - if you’re struggling with asking a supporter for a donation, it might be because you think the act of giving is a burden to the donor. But what if wasn’t a burden - but a joy? Here’s a quick reframe that might help. If you’ve got other ways you’ve cultivated a healthy fundraising attitude, drop them in the comments. And if you are ready to start working on ways you can be a more effective fundraiser and leader, let’s talk!!
