CONSISTENCY AND SACRIFICE BUILD WINNERS… How’s everyone doing today, post-Super Bowl? Well, it was quite a game to say the least, and I’m glad Patrick Mahomes is a champion for the 3rd time…he deserves it! Thinking about his excellence and the Chief’s ongoing dynasty made me reflect on what it takes to win, and keep winning over time. Of course, if you examine most champions, you’ll find that there’s an underlying foundation of experience and failure in their histories. While Mahomes did it shockingly in just a few years after starting his career, it took Michael Jordan 7 seasons before winning his first title. The teams that win are consistent, and willing to sacrifice to improve. Are you willing to do the same in your personal and professional lives? It takes a great deal of discipline. Anyone can get lucky once, but if you want to build something that lasts, you’ve got to check your ego at the door and put in that sweat equity. Nobody becomes a champion by accident. Consistency and sacrifice build winners.
