There is no excuse for not knowing how to articulate the value of design, today. It's in many aspects of our work at the DBA. In fact, you could say it's in our DNA, and most people involved in any way with us will be able to do this - evidence their impact. Design & Discovery | This TED Talk by David Carson is worth a watch. His whole point is about communicating information BEFORE our brain actually has time to consciously process what we’re looking at. He humorously reflects on various aspects of design, emphasizing the emotional impact and simplicity of different mediums, from traditional slide projectors to minimalist street signs and graffiti. He shares personal anecdotes, like his misinterpretation of airport gate signs, and critiques both historical and contemporary graphic design practices.
