🏀✨ Introducing the Nike RISE 'House of Mamba' LED court! ✨🏀 To all those who still think that the LED- court/floor is a groundbreaking innovation in the basketball world, I'm sorry to disappoint you 😞 #NIKE, as one of the great #pioneers in the sports business, had already introduced this floor in 2014, and who better to present it than the one and only #KobeBryant aka #blackmamba Back then, our creative team was already in discussions with the #manufacturer in Asia regarding possibilities in Europe and developing a concept, but as I mentioned in my previous post, we weren't quite there yet in Europe ☹ Now I see it slowly more and more in the post and I had to smile about the slow development and had to mention this development in my post yesterday as an "example". The good news is that we now also have a manufacturer in Europe 😊 and things are finally progressing. So, please don't take my post from yesterday too seriously 😉 Even after more than 10 years, I'm still very enthusiastic about the #LEDFLOOR, and we have some concepts ready in the pipeline, complete with technical refinements to elevate the entire experience 😉 And for those who want to ascend one step higher with us, we have something very special in store. $GOLF -5.75% $MODG -5.86% - Golf sector stocks are down with the market but also perhaps a part of their slide is due to the new (old) kid on the block. Last night, Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red brand announced that they will be open for business on May 1. In a pre-mkt note, a Stephens & Co. analyst reminded investors that Sun Day Red (part of private co. TaylorMade) will be directly competing with Topgolf's (MODG, the old Callaway) Footjoy apparel brand and Acushnet's ($GOLF) TravisMathew brand. Stephens expects Woods' new brand to be priced in the premium level. Of course, it will take a few quarters to see if Sun Day Red starts to chip away at its peers and recapture Tiger's loyal base from his decades at Nike. Great PGA Show this year! Attendance was up, more exhibitors and A LOT of buzz all week about tech and customer/member experience. While we at On-Pin International (Bob Baldassari PGA and Randy Clay) did not have a booth, we were able to make some incredible connections and are excited about the future. If you haven't talked to me about how our GPS and VerifEye systems can help you solve your everyday challenges, you should. Those that we met with at the Show can't wait to get installed and help share their stories. Specialfaces.com - This product didn't have a booth but met with PGA Professional Bruce Carter, the Co-Founder of the Charitable Foundation in support of individuals with special needs, disabled Veterans and the disenfranchised. They design and create unique and interesting shoelaces. Everyone needs shoelaces, so why not get awesome ones that also support a great cause. Again, great show and am incredibly excited about the future of the industry. As a whole, we are starting to come to grips with changing times, changing customers and new technology! It's about time and about to get fun...better hang on for the ride!
