Adding my 2 cents to what Paul already described beautifully: If you are doing anything for the community for the sake of "getting recognized as an MVP" then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. Getting recognized (as MVP) is the cherry on the top. Your focus should be on the cake (serving the community / help people make connections)!

Today is a special day of celebration for the #Salesforce ecosystem because the expected #SalesforceMVP class of 2024 was finally announced and I would like you to reflect on something. Many people think that success only consists in looking for their personal growing and being better than others around them, but in my opinion, you are really successful when you grow and let others doing it with you. Do you really think that all these people who received this recognition only thought about themselves ? I'm sure we agree the answer is No. On the contrary, they didn't look for the recognition itself, they just looked for helping and supporting others in their communities and beyond and selflessly invested their time to contribute to the #TrailblazerCommunity. So, let's stop looking for the own recognition and do the best we can to grow together! Let's follow their example and show all of them gratitude for their great job in our #Trailblazers' community!! In this ever-growing ecosystem, I've come to appreciate the beauty of collaboration. Five years back, when I joined Salesforce, I had a mixed feeling about my decision. Having worked in smaller companies most of my life on senior roles, my natural progression was towards a C-Level role in a small to mid sized company. But I felt that I was missing exposure to two things, how to innovate at breakneck velocity and how to scale profitably. And more then anything, the connection between work and my interest to give back to the community was at best unsatisfactory, so I decided to give Salesforce a shot. Five year in Salesforce, it feels like the best decision I could have made. Five years of adventure, moving to completely different areas of work, starting from Advanced Technology Innovation to Application Security, five years of working closely with some of the best leaders in the industry and five years of building deep friendship with amazing professionals, all the time feeling proud and humbled with how all our work feeds into the 1-1-1 model directly helping our communities. It is hard to mention every support and mentor in a short note, I will try to mention a few names. Chandransu Choudhury, Rajesh Misquita, Evan Davis, Brett Colbert, Amar Aujla and Sanjay S. for your deep guidance.
