As I took my daughter to the local museum, my mind wandered to the city's nickname, the City of Tribes-the 14 merchant families that dominated the city's political, commercial, and social life in the past. Just like Galway, aren't we all a city of tribes in our own right? 🤔 We each have our own unique circles—our tribes. But amidst the hustle and bustle of life, it's crucial to recognise the dynamics at play within our tribes. 👥 We gravitate towards those who share our values, interests and backgrounds. Our tribe gives us a sense of belonging and identity. We fiercely protect and take pride in our tribe. ⛓ Forces frequently threaten our tribes from within by attempting to undermine trust. Misunderstandings, conflicts, and insecurities can strain the bonds that unite us. 🤝 At the same time, our tribes must remain outward-looking and welcome new members with open arms. The cross-pollination of diverse perspectives, skills, and experiences allows our tribes to grow and thrive. ⛵ Some may journey solo for a period, exploring new horizons. But Galway's hopeful message is that no matter how long you roam, you can always return to rejoin your tribe. I'd love to hear your stories of Tribes in the comments below! 👉 ❤️ 👈 #CityOfTribes #Community #Trust #Unity #Belonging #Diversity #Galway #Inclusion #TrustMatters #Connection #Motivation #Mindset #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #Marketing #Career #PersonalDevelopment https://lnkd.in/eEQ3pt9k Picture source: Up In The Eire

One big issue is ice in the district for Nushagak River Set netters and our 25 boat drift fleet as ICE not rsw allows for a $3.00lb fresh ex vessel number 1 price. As I sit here with 7 feet of snow on the ground I am beyond step 1. ICE works to improve the quality , through compression bleeding. Then you gut and gill each fish leaving the head and collar in tact. Then we can buy the roe at $1 lb. Airlines are a full partner, I like Lynden for a bunch of reasons. Time to split the canned salmon crowd out of the fresh game , you will never get there with pumped fish. Time to bring the trollers mind set to gilnetting Bristol Bay. Quality over quantity, fish is food, kind of program. Now to actually put a small 25 vessel fleet with a floater with ice making capability , there are several ex longliners freezer boats and 1 real nice small trawler that would be a great new POLAR BEAR, Floater to stay and buy late in Bristol Bay. God could you imagine fresh sockeye silvers into late Sept. I Have the fleet, looking at plants, floaters at the moment, we also need a HQ IN Anchorage, by the new coldstorage and let's get some fresh fish, crabs, kelp to where it needs to be! Trawling is a disaster, I AM SURE, they will clean up their act, Joey B. would love to find an appropriate buyer or splinter each plant back to the community and its fisherman.
It's a new year , time to get busy for the 2024 Bristol Bay , a lot to do. Time to get on it, summer comes fast.

For all the budding entrepreneurs, this can be a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of innovation and entrepreneurship in the heart of Silicon Valley (Stanford's d.school). I was a participant of this program in 2019 (then, it was called the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy). And during this program, I decided to shut down my last startup, that I had been working on for more than a year. Multiple startup events, competitions (several of which we won), and accelerator programs couldn't teach me what I learnt here in 10 weeks. Things like, what really matters in a founding team, frameworks of innovation thinking and exposure to what is already possible in the world. On top of it, I have also gained some great friends, across different cultures, through this program. Apply for this program and feel free to connect with me if you have any questions. #innovation #entrepreneurship #technology #startup
Tamara Carleton, Ph.D. are we ready to share this summer's big event with the world? #Stanford #StanfordMoonshots

The root of GNOSIS XXI started here!
On June 1994 my Chevening Journey started in UK, one of the most beautiful contries in the world and the best year in my whole life. For some reasons I had to wait nearly 30 years to come back and enjoy again those awesome memories I had in my mind. I met my husband Fernando Herrera Pons in the University of Lancaster and now in 2024 we are here with our daughter Adriana Herrera Maldonado. London and Westminster are just as beautiful as I remember. #cheveningjourney #UK #lancasteruniversity #london

🌟 It’s that time of year again – we’re excited to welcome you to the 4th B&E! This year, we’re reimagining it as Sip, Snacks, and Chats to make it more inclusive and welcoming. Yes, we know. It’s giving very mindful. Very demure. Absolutely cutesy. Whether you’re sipping on a Diet Coke, ginger ale, or a Shirley Temple, you’re invited to join us in a space designed for connection, conversation, and collaboration. We’ve crafted this event to be a safe, welcoming environment where everyone in our engineering community feels seen and valued. Whether you’re here to make new friends, expand your network, or simply enjoy some good company, this event is for you. After all, you never know when a casual chat could lead to a mentor, a future collaboration, or even a lifelong friendship. 🌐✨ Let’s come together and celebrate our community—diverse, dynamic, and ever-evolving. So mark your calendars and join us for an evening of meaningful conversations, great snacks, and plenty of opportunities to connect. 💬 Also, let’s clarify that you do not need to be an alumni from the best university (at least in our opinion, prove us wrong at our event otherwise) to join us, everyone is welcome!!! For edmontonians, register here in the link attached. Calgarians, you are in luck, we are in the process of bringing this to Calgary too this fall. Stay tuned! https://lnkd.in/gQjPP2mU #SipSnacksChats #InclusiveNetworking #CommunityFirst #ConnectionMatters #EngineeringWithHeart
