Good decisions don't make for good cinema. Poor quality decisions lead to drama, plot twists, and comedy. With that, "Decision Reactions", The Decision-Making Studio's regular series in which we watch videos of decisions and break them down using our FOCUS framework, is back! The goal is simple: to get people thinking and talking about what goes into good decisions, and when to spot poor ones. Episode 3 is called "15,000 Cars" which is from the 1980s Ron Howard film "Gung Ho" which stars Michael Keaton. The film is about a down-on-its-luck Pennsylvania factory town that welcomes a Japanese car company. It is filled with poor decisions and we examine one of them here. Enjoy! And you can get in touch to get a copy of our primer on our FOCUS decision-making principles here: https://lnkd.in/eUiGgRB4 #decisionmaking

In the innovative horror-comedy "TWELVE," directed and written by Arthur Muhammad, a family's grief-stricken reunion turns into a confessional ordeal that promises to mix laughter with suspense. The film unfolds as the characters gather to mourn their patriarch, Pops, portrayed by Ted Lange, and their attempt to find solace in a game of dominoes swiftly spirals into a chilling quest for freedom from their own home, contingent upon revealing their deepest secrets. Muhammad intertwines the numerical significance of twelve with the historical essence of dominoes, enriching the narrative with metaphors of skeletons emerging from closets, thus setting a compelling backdrop for the story. The cast includes notable actors such as Lance E. Nichols, Tiffany Black, and Norman Nixon, Jr., who bring depth to this intriguing plot. Arthur Muhammad, renowned for his diverse filmography including titles like "Solitaire" and "Carter High," remains committed to creating cinema that not only entertains but also prompts introspection and dialogue among its viewers. With "TWELVE," he aims to highlight the liberating power of truth and the inevitable unearthing of secrets, advocating for a life of honesty. Currently available for streaming on Fandango at Home, "TWELVE" is a testament to Muhammad's versatility and creativity in filmmaking. As business leaders, the exploration of truth and transparency in this narrative might resonate with professional and personal realms alike.
