Why are coffee brands starting to look like beer? 🍻 With a projected valuation of $43B by 2027, we know the RTD coffee market is surging, but is there any connection with our desire for healthier, "alcohol-like" products? For example, nitro cold brew coffee is infused with nitrogen gas, creating a smooth, creamy texture, resembling the look & mouth feel of a dark beer. And draft latte’s are often poured out of a tap and lean into the same “wood” and “brick” imagery used by craft brewers. Although the two products have different value chains, there’s an undeniable connection both in how they’re marketed in this emerging RTD space, and in how they make us feel… 👀 CASE IN POINT La Colombe Coffee Roasters introduced new Draft Latte and Cold Brew cans (refreshed draft latte recipe for a sweeter, creamier taste with less sugar and a refreshed cold brew recipe) La Colombe also experimented with Hard Cold Brew Coffee in 2019 but ceased production around 2022.. "The rebrand and stepped-up advertising come as 30-year-old La Colombe prepares to expand grocery availability. Chobani acquired La Colombe late last year in a $900 million deal." Detailed Project Report on Cheese Balls Manufacturing Plant Cheese balls are delightful and savory snacks that have gained popularity for their rich and cheesy flavor profile. They are typically crafted from a blend of cheese, often cream cheese, cheddar, or mozzarella, mixed with various seasonings and herbs for an extra burst of taste. The mixture is then shaped into bite-sized balls and coated with crunchy breadcrumbs or crushed nuts, which not only adds a satisfying texture but also intensifies the taste experience. Are you in the food business or considering entering it? Understanding the terms 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 and 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 can be pivotal. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 is when you hire a food manufacturer to make one of their existing products but package it with your branding. For example, say you want a protein cookie but you don't have a recipe. You could contact ChipMonk Baking, and we could make one of our existing protein cookie recipes for you but use your logo and branding on the packaging. To the end customer, the product looks like it was made by your company. Why would you want to do this? It's much easier than developing your own formula and process, so you can get the product to market faster. Likely the manufacturer can do it more efficiently too, and, they don't have to worry about marketing expenses, so you could get the product cheaper than if you were making it yourself. If you are a company that already has a captive audience buying food items from you (e.g., meal prep shops, grocery stores, subscription boxes, weight loss clinics, hotels, airlines), private labeling a snack item could be a great way to increase your revenue per customer while also building brand equity. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 is when you hire a food manufacturer to make your product/recipe. This usually involves a lot more work because you have to find the right manufacturer (i.e., do they have the right equipment, staffing, capacity, quality control standards, etc.) and then you have to work with them to figure out how to make your product at scale in their facility. Typically if your business is a brand, this is what you do. You have something unique you're trying to bring to the market, but you don't yet have the customer base or the ability/expertise to make the product at scale. The recipe belongs to you, so as you grow you can always change or add manufacturers or even take manufacturing in-house. The key here is finding a good manufacturing partner who truly cares about your product and will work with you to unlock efficiency, ensure quality, and plan for future growth. ChipMonk Baking provides both services and if you're a food company considering either option please reach out. I'm always happy to help with advice even if we don't directly work together! ONE Brands gave its consumer base a major energy boost this year with a line of protein bars that are also caffeinated. Each ONE Brands Coffee Shop bar contains 20 grams of protein and 65 mg of caffeine, about the same as a shot of espresso. "14. REESE'S Dipped Animal Crackers "We know you're not supposed to play with your food, but these new wild treats from REESE'S make it so tempting. The snack is essentially animal crackers—in 13 different species—coated with peanut butter candy and dunked in milk chocolate. "They were spotted roaming Costco Wholesale earlier this year, and members were smitten with their charm. 2024 Goal: Expand Keto Foods brand identity to set the standard for excellence in Zero Added Sugar frozen desserts. Action #1: Revitalize our pint packaging to align with our mission and vision of setting the standard of excellence in Zero Added Sugar frozen desserts. Keto Foods is proud to share our collaborative effort in launching our newest ice cream pint formulations and packaging, launching into stores next week! This packaging is unique in many ways, and deviates from our 'Clean' aesthetic, while attaining a 'Modern' feel. Here is what I love most: 1. It captures the contents of the ice cream in a compelling way 2. The 'Swipe' of the backdrop is a scaleable packaging hierarchy that brings character to the product 3. The core message of 'Zero Added Sugar' is the most prominent feature, directly aligning to a core audience we seek to serve. 4. In my humble opinion, the packaging denotes 'Premium' in a telling way. Most importantly, our ice cream has improved tremendously. The problem we faced from 2019-2023 was not being able to 'Crack the Code' on achieving a scoopable ice cream product right out of the freezer, without compromising on quality ingredients. Finally, I feel confident Keto Foods has not only accomplished a top-tier product that is scoopable out of the freezer, but we have done it in a way that uses greater quality ingredients. I am ecstatic to hear everyone's feedback! Personal Note: Butter Pecan is the 💣 💥
