It’s official: construction permits were filed this week, allowing contractors to start building the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center—a $100M state-of-the-art facility and the first phase of Bedrock's $3.5B Downtown Riverfront redevelopment. 🏗️ The center will serve as the new HQ and practice facility for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Once complete, the riverfront development will span 12 acres along the Cuyahoga River, featuring 2,000 new housing units and over one million square feet of office, retail, and entertainment space. City officials estimate it will create more than 30,000 direct jobs and generate over $10 billion in new tax revenue over the next 30 years. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/etFuAUNX #GreaterCLE #AllIn Cleveland Clinic Sports Data Labs City of Cleveland - City Hall Bedrock Detroit Cuyahoga County Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland has been wanting to host March madness and different events more . Maybe having an additional training center near arena will be a draw to get bigger names/teams in here for longer?
awesome indeed!
World class.

2moSo who, besides the Cavs, will be allowed to use the GPPC? Calling it the CCF GPPC hardly implies that this is only the Cavs’ new practice facility, instead, it implies public use, not extremely limited private use. I’m okay with it being the Cav’s facility, but an honest name would be the “Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Cavaliers Practice and Performance Center.” There’s nothing global about this.
