Why do we stand with 10x Genomics? Because we share a common vision. A vision that to truly grasp the complexity of life, we must dive deep into the cellular level with tools that are as meticulous as the systems they seek to understand. Our role as a distributor is more than just supplying products; it's about enabling breakthroughs, fostering discoveries, and ultimately, contributing to the advancement of human health and knowledge. We want the researchers in Australia and New Zealand to have easy access to cutting-edge technology that will transform our understanding of biology, one cell at a time. #10xGenomics #Biotechnology #PrecisionTechnology #LifeSciences #Innovation #Australia #NewZealand #BiologicalResearch #SingleCell #SpatialBiology

"Perfectly adapted microorganisms live in extreme environments, from deep-sea trenches to mountaintops. Learning more about how these extremophiles survive in hostile conditions could inform scientists about life on Earth and potential life on other planets. In the Journal of Proteome Research, researchers detail a method for more accurate extremophile identification based on protein fragments instead of genetic material. The study identified two new hardy bacteria from high-altitude lakes in Chile—an environment like early Mars."... ... "These results suggest proteotyping could be a more complete solution for identifying extremophile microorganisms from small biological samples. The team says protein profiling could someday help us search for and identify extraterrestrial life and better explore the biodiversity on our own planet." Researcher on the REPAIR Project @ SNOLAB | 3rd Year Life Sciences Undergraduate @ Queen's University | Freelance Professional Development Coach
Transformative Milestones: STEMInA Research Experience Program's Culmination! As an enthusiastic second-year Undergraduate in Life Sciences, deeply fascinated by genetics and computational techniques, I was thrilled to present at the conclusive event of the STEMInA Research Experience Program. This pivotal moment in my academic path allowed me to delve into the Comprehensive Antibiotic Resistance Database (CARD) through a biotechnological lens. Guided by Prof. Christian Muise of MuLab and Prof. Ting Hu at MIB, my project centered on unraveling the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance—aiming to shed light on one of today’s most daunting global health dilemmas. By analyzing CARD, I identified potential methods to counteract and manage antibiotic resistance effectively. I’m profoundly grateful for the insights and guidance provided by the STEMInA REP faculty and cherish the collaborative spirit among my peers in the program. This experience wasn’t just educational; it was transformative, enhancing my skills and deepening my commitment to pursuing a career in genetic research and biotechnology. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported me through this journey. I'm eager to continue exploring genetic mechanisms and their implications on health. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eTVZZUV4 #STEM #Biotechnology #Genetics #Research #AntibioticResistance #HealthcareInnovation #ScienceCommunication
