Not typically what you think of when you hear goat rope in the US Army! 😂😂😂 Actually, Walla-Walla District's Mill Creek Dam and Bennington Lake project office brought these goats out to remove vegetation in key areas. One of these areas is the levees. Vegetation removal from the levees allows district staff to inspect the levees for any possible issues. The project welcomes everyone to come see the goats. However, there are additional rules in place while the goats are present. These rules are needed to keep the goats safe and focused on their job. The most important change is that all dogs must be on a leash and under control when near the levees. This includes the parking lot at the project office. Additionally, be aware that the mesh fence surrounding the goats is electrified. While the goats are cute, and you may want to pet them, please stay back or it may be a shocking experience.
