For many restauranteurs, delivery services like DoorDash and Uber have been powerful tools to unlock additional topline revenue, however, the flipside, is they can have adverse effects such as cutting into margins or passing on additional cost to the consumer. I'm not an advocate for restaurant businesses to not use these services, I am however an advocate that they should offset any loss in margin at the delivery level and build their own subscription business with PassPass. https://lnkd.in/gd6Pty7S

My $30 DoorDash order comes with a customer experience that puts most other companies to shame. I snapped this screenshot today, and I can't help but be amazed at the world we live in. With just a few taps on my phone, I can satisfy my cravings and get updates on exactly where my food is. Think about it: feeling hungry? Order a meal and track its progress right to your doorstep. If you decide you want ice cream or another snack, you can have the driver make an extra stop. We're living in an age where anyone with a phone and a few dollars can experience concierge-level service. Imagine a family dinner where everyone at the table gets exactly what they want from their favorite restaurant. Steak from one place, salad from another – it's all possible now. Technology has made it so easy to enjoy life's little luxuries, and it's truly mind-blowing. If we're living in a time when people get this high level of service for something as simple as dinner, imagine how high their expectations are for the product or service you're offering at the price you're offering. Customer experience and expectations are everything these days. What a time to be alive! #Technology #Innovation #Convenience #FoodDelivery #ModernLife #CustomerExperience #CustomerExpectations

Complaint Title: Refusal of Cancellation and Refund within Legal Period – Defective Purchase on Uber Mercados (Sam’s Club) - Brasil BR Description: I made a purchase of non-perishable items (bedding and bath products) through Uber Mercados in partnership with Sam’s Club, and I received defective items. Since receiving them, I have been trying to exercise my right to cancel and return the items, as provided by Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC), which grants me a 7-day period to withdraw from the purchase and receive a full refund. I contacted Uber Mercados support on the third day after receiving the items, well within the 7-day period, but I am facing a refusal of cancellation and refund. Since this purchase was made outside a physical store, the CDC assures me the right to cancel and return the products, regardless of the reason. I reiterate that I am acting in accordance with the law, which requires the supplier to immediately issue a refund, including monetary adjustment, upon the consumer exercising this right. Therefore, I am requesting the cancellation of the purchase and a full refund.
