Lately, we've been discussing the importance of growing our partners' IP and how it can lead to lasting success and increased revenue. 💰
Our ongoing partnership with NimbleBit perfectly illustrates the effectiveness of our strategy. We've even worked together to create and release new titles within the well-known 'Pocket' IP, like the recent hit Pocket Trucks (more details on that later).

We recently put together a 60s "company trailer." These things are always simultaneously maddening and productive. Thought I'd pull back the curtain.
What did we focus on?
* Picking the right partner. We worked with Jason Van Sant. Low drama, high urgency, and totally committed to the craft.
* Dialing in the message. They say show, don't tell. My belief is the best way to show what we value is to share what we've built. (Hey, I'm a product guy.) But a company trailer can't be just about the product. It took a few revisions of the script to find a balance we felt good about.
* Differentiating. These videos follow a formula. It's really hard to stand out. In an effort to hold attention, we deliberately broke some of the conventions—the self-seriousness, the confessional-style interview, the ambient/techno music.
* Trusting everyone else's gut. I have no experience being on camera, and I hate seeing myself in video. Late in the process, I had a crisis of confidence. We circulated the video among some friendlies to ask about the tone. They said go for it, so we did.
Did we make the right move? You tell me.

I’m personally so glad that the 3PC deprecation timeline has been extended.
Over the past 6 months, I have witnessed loads of testing, innovation and detailed analysis on what the new world with no 3PC will look like, but sadly, it’s all pointing to the fact on the old timeline the industry just isn't ready. Revenue, Latency and the Top Level Seller challenges all need addressing.
I very much come from the publisher’s perspective and it's my job to advocate for them. This new timeline provides a much fairer opportunity for all players in our industry to be ready for such a MASSIVE change. All parties in the chain should have optimal time, space and support so that everyone can find a way to win and publishers aren’t left out of pocket.
I strongly believe that the industry needs to work together to overcome this challenge.
With the brilliant minds involved with Prebid.org and the support of IAB Tech Lab, I'm excited to be part of the next phase of preparation.
It's time to innovate and not relax as we have more time before the new world.
