No one likes drinking alone. And the busier your taproom, the more each guest will spend. We analyzed thousands of taproom visits to see how the perceived level of busyness correlates to how much guests spend. Guests spent 38% more in packed taprooms compared to empty taprooms from 2017 to 2022. At one point, it was simply about the beer. Then the word 'experience' crept in. 'Experience' refers to every little aspect that contributes to a guest having a more memorable time. Their experience could be enhanced by something as basic as the music playing or something as extravagant as a decked-out anniversary celebration. See how by consistently facilitating and delivering these wow moments, you can see a busier taproom with higher tabs and more smiles.

Applying Marketing Science (how marketing ACTUALLY works) to Festivals & Events - creating effective marketing that grows brands and ultimately, achieves business results.
I experienced this first hand the other day, with a meal out. I’d never been to Flat Iron before, but they clearly understand the Peak End Rule. Well, they also know the importance of first impressions; with a tasty bowl of popcorn served up as soon as we sat down. But fast forward to the bill, and accompanying it came some mini cleavers, which turned out to be tokens for free (and really good) ice-cream. Yeah, I remember the highlight - the steak. But that ice-cream finish also stands out, and sure did help shape the way I (positively) remembered the overall experience I had! The lesson for festivals and events? You may not be able to shape and influence everyones peak ‘most intense’ points (the highlights), but you sure can try and do something when the time comes for them to leave. And what with the importance of immediately selling tickets for next year's event to this year's customer, the Peak End Rule is something you need to give some attention to. #Festivals #Events #FestivalMarketing #EventMarketing

Find your ONE thing. What are you known for? Is that a dish? A cocktail? Or is it the service people love? There must be ONE thing that gets people to start talking about you and returning for more. It does not have to be crazy expensive or complicated. It can be simple but made your way and is always consistent. Think of it like a music album by an artist. ONE song grabs attention. Find that ONE thing for your hospitality venue. #foodandbeverage #restaurants #hospitality

The most interesting data point in the below article is: “In a survey released this fall by data firm MRI-Simmons, Generation Z had the lowest alcohol consumption of any adult age group in the U.S., with 58% of legal drinking-age respondents saying they had drunk alcohol in the past six months. Among those, 87% had consumed spirits while 56% had consumed beer.” Anyone else surprised that 4 in 10 legal age Gen Z people DONT drink alcohol? My guess is that Gen Z still likes participating in alcohol occasions like sporting events, concerts, and house parties. This represents an incredible opportunity for new brands to serve customers in these settings with non-Alcohol offerings. https://lnkd.in/gtTFrP_3
