𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 📝 Job boards like Indeed, Monster, and even niche ones specific to construction can be gold mines. Cast a wide net and see what you catch! 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 📲 Social media isn’t just for memes and cat videos. Post your job openings on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Engage with communities and groups dedicated to construction and fencing. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 👥 These agencies have a knack for finding the right fit. They do the heavy lifting for you, screening candidates and matching them to your needs. 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀 🛠️ Consider hiring trainees or apprentices. They may not have the experience, but with proper training, they can become loyal, skilled workers. 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🤝 Get involved with professional organizations related to construction and fencing. These groups can be excellent sources of referrals and connections. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 💼 Your current employees can be your best recruiters. Set up a referral program with incentives. They’re more likely to bring in people who are a good fit. What are the 3 best things a career in the construction sector has to offer? I put a post out earlier in the week regarding good pay within the construction sector. It got me thinking that I want to create a post listing out all the great things the construction sector has to offer people who want a rewarding career. I'm going to create this post (and hope it reaches loads of people that are considering their career options) but first I want to hear from as many of you as possible.... In your opinion what are the 3 biggest selling points about working in the construction sector?

I am beyond excited; I am elated and full of gratitude for all the incredible connections that we made at the International Mass Timber Conference in Portland last week. #IMTC If you attended and we didn't connect, feel free to reach out. I'd love to hear your biggest takeaways and share mine. Here are a couple of my takeaways: ✅ Mass Timber has the capability and capacity to have a hugely positive impact on the housing shortage in North America and there are already a number of companies who are dedicating a significant amount of resources to this crisis. ✅It's incredible to see all of the manufacturers, equipment suppliers and installers collaborating with one another. This industry in particular has taken advantage of more opportunities to collaborate than any other industry I have recruited in. The idea of "all winning together" is alive and well. ✅Many companies are recruiting for key roles to help support the sectors growth. This is exciting on a number of levels: 1) It provides innovative job opportunities for people coming from a variety of backgrounds. 2) It signals that there is a demand for innovation in the construction sector which is great for jobs and the environment. #EngineeringJobs #MassTimberJob #SalesJobs #CareerDevelopment #BuildACareerInMassTimber

Kevin is our Project Safety Manager in Texas! 1. How did you get into the construction industry?   "When I left the military, I entered the construction industry to support my growing family. Building structures that will be around for a long time really intrigued me and kept my interest focused looking forward." 2. What is something that you enjoy about the industry or about your position? "I enjoy the differences in the people you encounter from site to site. It is exciting to be exposed to the diversity of the local and project cultures."   3. What advice would you give to someone interested in a career in construction? "Enter the industry with an open mind, as construction with all the diversity is still one of the only industries left that you could grow from bottom to the top, no matter your background or previous experience. Construction is full of experienced people willing to help with your personal growth.
