Rise and rise again and again. Like the Phoenix from the ashes. Until the lambs have become Lions - the poem This painting is a visual echo of my life's journey, a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Inspired by these powerful words, I sought to capture the essence of transformation. The phoenix, a symbol of rebirth, soars amidst the vibrant hues, mirroring my own journey from adversity to triumph. The "Gold Crown" motif, a nod to Basquiat, serves as a dual purpose. It's a homage to a masterful artist who overcame adversity, and it's also a symbol of my personal victory. I employed a variety of techniques, including impasto, layering, and texturing, to create a sense of depth and movement. The bold colors and strong lines reflect the energy and determination required to overcome challenges. This artwork is a reminder that with perseverance, we can all transform our struggles into triumphs.
