It's FAQ Friday again! Question: I live in New York City. My loved one, my Dad lives in California. He is showing signs of forgetfulness and we have no relatives on the west coast. How do I manage his senior care? Answer: The situation you are in is one of the main reasons we founded CARESULTANTS. The additional burden of figuring out how to find and manage the needed care can be very complex on families who are out of state. We can examine the needs your Father has and provide clear next steps with/for you so that you can stay where you are while we oversee the process. Once we define the right care plan together we can coordinate and manage the journey. #FAQs #Caresultants #CaregivingJourney

Conference Speaker and Chairperson | Multi-award digital platform owner | Head of Digital Platforms and Data Strategy at GSK | PhD | MBA | PMP | MSP | VFQ - Agile | Mentor | Ex-Fellow of BCLA and FAAO | School Governor
One of my proudest moments to see my team’s initiative has been featured on the GSK official page. Many thanks Debbie Hsu for your hard work in driving this important project to support our caregivers. With this post, it is also a great time for me to pause and take a bit longer medical leave to sort out my chronic health issues. Being a patient and caregiver at the same time, it would be too easy forget to self-care. Reflecting on my time after my graduation, I never stop but tried my best everyday to make bigger impact and help more patients. My journey started as an optometrist specialised in Orthokeratolgy, and my passion and interest in contact lens led me to study my PhD. With my supervisors’ help, I published 10 peer-reviewed papers and obtained two fellowships which I still believe it was one of the craziest achievement in my life! After that, I joined contact lens company as a medical marketers leveraging my ophathalmic background, and further expanded to commercial. Lucky enough I proved my success with a lot of great people around me. With my core values mentioned, I didn’t enjoy staying in the same industry but decided to quit my comfort zone and joined a pharmaceutical company. In the last decade, I have moved countries, from local to global, switching between pharma and consumer, also diversifying my knowledge from marketing, strategy, CEO office, and the most enjoyable and recent one - Digital, Data, and Innovation. After almost two decades never stop mindset, my health has given me a couple alarms and I have told myself to pause now. I am sure it will give me some time to self-care, before further caring others. I do respectfully recognise all the caregivers’ effort, but at the same time, it is also a wake-up call for everyone. Please take some rest and self-care from time to time for a longer journey! #carerhood #innovation #digitalhealth #iamfine
