Recently, #YouTube said it will be testing various new tools meant to improve user experience and assist video creators. Among these experimental tools just now accessible to a small set of testers are QR codes for channels, #GoogleLens integrated into the search bar, and AI-powered highlights for live discussions. YouTube is constantly working to make its website better and more valuable, and these enhancements reflect that. For live broadcasting creators, YouTube is experimenting with AI-driven live chat summaries to enable consumers to rapidly grasp what is being said. Right now, this feature only exists on English-language channels with a lot of chatter. Short summaries produced by it show on the banner of the chat window. This modification is supposed to simplify viewing by providing a summary of chat exchanges, therefore facilitating interaction with the content. https://lnkd.in/gBfjNvnW

Don't know about you, but I've been feeling frustrated lately with YouTube thanks to annoying ads popping up left, right, and center. But YouTube might just have a solution up its sleeve. They're testing a new feature that lets you skip straight to the good bits of a video with just a double tap on your touchscreen. Yep, no more endless scrolling or getting bombarded with stock tips and travel ads. Just a quick tap, and BAM! - you're at the juiciest part of the video, all thanks to AI analyzing viewer behavior patterns. And here's the best part: This feature isn't just for us viewers. Nope, creators can use it too. So whether you're watching or making videos, you'll be able to zip straight to the action in no time. Now, I know what you're thinking - "But wait, isn't this just for YouTube Premium users?" Well, for now, yes. But good things come to those who wait, right? Once they're done testing it out, we might just see it roll out to everyone. If you're like me and you're tired of playing the ad game, maybe it's time to consider taking the plunge and upgrading to YouTube Premium. Strictly for saving time at work, of course! #YouTube #NewFeature #YouTubePremium Teams@OLAYEMIS

There is a lot of juicy material in Neal Mohan's last week post (Youtube CEO) Here are some of the takeaways: 🚀 YouTube has been the driver of the creator economy. 🤑 More than 3 million creators are earning money through the YouTube Partner Program. 💲 More than $70 billion has been paid to creators in the last three years. 🎞 On average, there are 70 billion views on shorts per day, and that number has grown 50% year over year. 📺 More than 1 billion hours of content are watched on TV screens every day (not cellphones or computers). 🖥 Also, YouTube has led streaming watch time for the past 11 months. His #1 vision for 2024? AI will empower human creativity... Companies are massively investing in new products, and we are starting to see different tools and even channels entirely done by AI. It will be interesting to see how creators are using this to improve their storytelling, execution, and even localization. I honestly see this happening now, especially in editing and doubling. But what will be the next AI wave of innovation in the creator economy? https://lnkd.in/djUfuMCe

Feeling bogged down by the relentless wave of ads on YouTube? You're not the only one. However, it looks like YouTube might be on the brink of offering us a lifeline. Imagine being able to leapfrog right to the most engaging parts of a video with just a double tap on your screen. No more sifting through endless ads or aimless scrolling. This magic is made possible by AI, which digs into viewer behavior to pinpoint the moments that matter most to us. But here's where it gets even sweeter: This isn't just a boon for viewers. Content creators, too, can take advantage of this feature, making it a win-win for the YouTube community. For now, this fast-forward to the good stuff is in the testing phase for YouTube Premium subscribers, but who knows? In time, this could become a standard perk for all users. So, if the ad onslaught has you at your wit's end, it might be worth considering a YouTube Premium upgrade. After all, time is money, especially when you're on the clock. #YouTube #NewFeature #YouTubePremium
