Oana O. pointed out in her short note that we already have too many GenAI tools, but most companies rely on AWS, consultants and ninja engineers. The main problem is the same as with ML, which leads to the fractioning and (mostly) failure of MLOps: Most problems worth solving are custom business-related problems that are hard to solve with one-size-fits-all tools. So tools are either too low-level for non-engineer DSes or too high-level for having a good TAM. The same will happen with GenAI. Solution: Either educate your DSes to be better engineers or figure out some unicorn alignment by mixing SWEs and DSes in the same team (practically unheard of, no idea why).

Our recent visit to the Amazon office was nothing short of enlightening. Here's a glimpse of what we delved into: 🧠 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫: We explored the capabilities of Sagemaker, gaining insights into its features and how it can streamline our ML workflows. 🚀 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤: This is a fully managed service that makes high-performing foundation models (FMs) from leading AI startups and Amazon available for your use through a unified API. 🎉 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤: The hands-on session with Party Rock was a highlight, showcasing its power to build AI-generated apps in a playground powered by Amazon Bedrock. It’s a fast and fun way to learn about generative AI. 💡 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧(𝐑𝐀𝐆): RAG opened up new avenues in our understanding of AI, particularly in generating relevant and context-aware responses. Moreover, we deep-dived into various use cases of GenAI, such as the 𝐑𝐀𝐆 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝, 𝐕𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐁 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬, and explored innovative ways to interact with data using the Langchain framework. Though our team didn't clinch the top spot, the knowledge and experience gained were invaluable. We're excited to incorporate these learnings into our future projects, pushing the boundaries of innovation in AI.
