New composition of the Waelzholz Executive Board
On June 30, 2024, our long-standing CSO/CPO, Dr. rer. pol. Matthias Gierse, retired from his position on the Executive Board of C.D. Wälzholz GmbH & Co KG. He will, however, continue to serve our company in an advisory capacity. Henrik Junius, who was previously responsible for Logistics, Production Planning, and IT on the Executive Board, will assume responsibility for Gierse’s previous areas, Purchasing and Sales.
As a result, we have created a new senior management area that is aligned with the Waelzholz supply chain. This will further strengthen our company’s ability to respond quickly and with flexibility to changing market requirements.
Dr. Heino Buddenberg as CEO and Holger Bierstedt as CFO will remain in their current roles.

Jed York, the CEO of the San Francisco 49ers, announced last week that the team would cover the expenses to fly out its 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 organization to Las Vegas for this year's Super Bowl.
York told reporters, "We're going to make sure that all staff and interns and everybody, they get to go".
A brand's employees are its most authentic brand ambassadors. Acts like this not only show a brand's true colors, they make the brand more attractive to consumers as well as staff - external candidates (to join) and internal employees (to stay). They force competitors to either step up their game or get left behind. This is what strong leadership looks like and a winning culture feels like. THIS is raising the bar!
