I completely agree that there's a delicate balance to be struck in industries where the appearance of staff might be seen as reflective of the brand or product promise. For instance, in skincare lines, it's understandable to feature individuals with healthy, radiant skin as this directly correlates to the product benefits. It's about showcasing the product's effectiveness, not perpetuating stereotypes. However, there's indeed an intriguing learning curve in how we communicate these messages. In the wellness industry, for instance, the prevailing imagery often includes people practicing yoga, or those with conventionally beautiful bodies receiving a massage. But true wellness is about reflecting a state of balance, serenity, calm, and joy, which can be embodied by any individual, regardless of their body type. Your observation is a critical reminder that while we often discuss equality in terms of salary, benefits, and career opportunities, we must also be mindful of how we portray and perceive potential employees. Skills and experience should always take precedence over one's physical appearance, color, race, religion, sexual orientation, and other personal attributes.
