With all the talk of GLP-1s, attention has been taken away from Humira as a cost-driver to employer benefit plans. The availability of multiple biosimilars means this shouldn't be the case as plans & providers should be steering patients towards the clinically comparable drugs. Also, interesting to see the decrease in total scripts but increase in average cost per script #benefits #drugs #humira

We had the privilege of presenting to the Sanford Board of Directors and giving them a tour of Sterile Processing earlier this week. I was happy to share our preference card project with them. And yes, our preference cards on average have an 84% utilization rate and they've stayed that way for 4 years. It took a lot of dedication, collaboration, and trusting data to get to that point. NEW ZEALAND COVID IN THE NEWS IN THE USA TrialSite is a US based science platform whose mission is to drive awareness, introduce transparency, and facilitate engagement among people all over the world, from pharmaceutical professionals and academic researchers to regulators and healthcare professionals along with a wide array of the consuming public. They state "We value transparency, objectivity, and the scientific method in pursuit of the truth wherever it may lead us." Evidently my concerns about the lack of transparency with respect to New Zealand’s Covid Royal enquiry are being reported Internationally but here in NZ not a murmur from the NZ bought media. Perhaps they are hoping for a financial bailout to save their increasingly obsolete media platforms or perhaps they have never really had the wellbeing of new Zealanders interests at heart but only their self-importance and the publication of clickbait media articles which provide revenue to their shareholders the detriment of all New Zealanders. Or perhaps they are afraid of being “cancelled” like veteran broadcaster Peter Williams who questioned the Labour Governments Covid elimination strategy. But surely there must be one journalist out there in NZ with a sliver of journalistic integrity that can put a spotlight on the lack of ethics and transparency of the NZ Covid enquiry. Or maybe Luxon could do a podcast on the importance of the Covid Royal Enquiry which is arguably of more critical importance than all the other items promoted in their 100 day plan because it may provide us with the tools to protect our people from largescale life threatening pathogenic infections that will inevitably confront our little piece of paradise in the foreseeable future. Jacinda Ardern was praised on the world stage for Eliminating Covid in NZ but it was short-lived and Covid is endemic in NZ. Now the International media commentary is around the slowness of the NZ Government to take action regarding the Covid enquiry and the excess mortality rates that countries around the world are experiencing following the rollout of Covid Vaccines. Jacinda Ardern's Achilles heel was her vanity that she could eliminate Covid in NZ when it was endemic in the rest of the world. Luxon's Achilles heel is that he wants to fix the economy as he sees this as a panacea for fixing all the woes of NZ. But pathogenic viruses dont give a pile of fecal matter about the economy. They just kill people. So Note to selfe Luxon "be prepared" you have a window of opportunity and an opportunity to investigate excess death mortality rates to prevent further deaths, Sir Ray
