“Are you a physical therapist?” Someone asked me this question earlier this month… 😬 It may seem like an extremely random question because I am very much so a marketer and far, far from a physical therapist. But it was actually a major compliment. Why? When he asked me this question, I was wearing a Progressive Motion t-shirt after going straight to a networking dinner for The Owners Club (see picture) after a PM team offsite. I mean, I can’t blame him - all the signs were there to suggest I was a physical therapist at Progressive Motion. 🤷♀️ But to me this meant that I am so engrained into the culture and company of my client that people think I’m in another profession - the profession of my client. One of our value propositions at Honey & Hive is our Team Member Mentality. A Team Member Mentality means we are speaking our client's language, we celebrate their wins and help them fix their failures, we’re wearing their merch, and we may even get confused as being a full-time member of their team. 😅 I can count on both hands the amount of times people have been surprised to hear I have my own company and work with multiple brands, not just for the client in question. So, while it still caught me off guard being asked, “Are you a physical therapist?” it validated one of our goals at Honey & Hive - being an engrained member of our clients’ teams.

Aspiring Physical Therapy Assistant, leader on and off the court in volleyball, basketball, softball and track
10 things I have learned while interning at Ashley Creek Physical Therapy! 1. It's okay to make a mistake and get help. 2. It's not wrong to not know something. Questions are valuable! 3. Before the Physical Therapist works this the patient, the Physical Therapist Assistant heats and preps the patient. 4. After any treatment, the patient needs to ice for ten minutes. 5. How to use an ultra sound machine and what it does to the body part it operates on. 6. What a shock wave is and how to use it. 7. What it means to towel stretch. 8. How to work the computer and check in patients. 9. How to set the timers. 10. I can see myself working here at Ashley Creek and I want to be a PTA!

Safety first. PPE is critical.
"We’ve all experienced it; you are at the gun range or up on the mountain hunting when the shot breaks out. Your lack of hearing protection is immediately apparent. The ringing in your ears subsides, but was the damage done? As someone who grew up with perfect hearing but now relies on hearing aids I can tell you, yes, there was damage done. Little by little, day by day, it adds up until you find yourself struggling to hear. Protecting your hearing is one of the most important things you can do, and something that doesn't require a whole lot of effort. Like ear plugs and muffs, shooting suppressed is just another form of hearing protection. And, contrary to popular belief, they are readily available for the outdoor consumer, and they just might save your hunt, as well as your hearing." Is Hearing Testing a Headache for You? 👂🛑 We know hearing test day can be difficult. It’s hard to get employees to come off the job when they are working. If your business has multiple locations and several hundred people with different shifts, it can become total chaos. Imagine getting all of your employees tested using a seamless process without having to waste your time coordinating it. This is where we come in! At Anadyne, we start by sitting down with you and getting your details. We then go to work and take on the scheduling for you. We start by going in once or twice a month and scheduling the appointments for you. When Anadyne gets involved, this day goes smoothly. We know you don’t schedule hearing tests every day. It’s hard to learn something without a lot of practice. We do it all the time, and we understand the methodology. We know how to make the most of your time. Take the stress off your safety team, and let us do it for you! There’s no need to tear your hair out - just call us! We can help. #workplacesafety #healthandsafety #occupationalsafety #hearingprotection
