Being a Mum is hard work 💕 I feel this in my bones today after a night of no sleep 🫠 Balancing the demands of motherhood with a career is hard work and a reality for 3 in 4 mothers It is a daily challenge that can be invisible but no less deeply felt The wonderful team at Maltesers conducted research on this topic and the results were eye-opening: 👀 67% of UK mums work extra hours beyond their schedule 79% of us wrestle with guilt for the time not spent with our children 55% of us are in need of greater support from our work and home circles With these insights, we launched the “Motherlover” platform to not just shed light on these issues but to actively provide resources for working mums. We aimed to transform colleagues into allies and did so with a dash of humour and a lot of heart. ✨ Humour has the unique power to unite and heal, and that's why we chose it as our medium. You can still watch our video with Jess Fostekew below. But why am I telling you about this today? Well, our project has been nominated for a Campaign UK Award for Content Strategy 🌟 This nomination is more than just an industry accolade; it's a testament to the strength and resilience of working mothers everywhere. It's an honour to be part of a movement that supports mums like me, who are doing their best to thrive in both their personal and professional lives. A heartfelt thank you to the team that turned this idea into a reality from EssenceMediacom UK Jake H Jones, Megan Edwards, Ross Robinson, Stephen Smith, Wunmi Adesina, Tatiana Yusuf & Zack Christodoulou, The Guardian & The Guardian Labs Siam Goorwich, Alex Frayne, Molly Johnson, Millie Law & Bernice Frampton and of course Mars Leah Dyckes & Clare Moulder for championing such an important cause! Here's to more support, more laughter, and more moments where we can all be #Motherlovers. #CampaignAwards #ContentStrategy #Motherlover #SupportWorkingMums #NewMum #Inclusion #Diversity #Comedy #Maltesers #Marketing #Advertising #ProudMoment #Teamwork https://lnkd.in/eYkJUUnr

This is a heartbreaking reminder of how vital it is to be there for one another, especially during the most challenging times. I lost a close friend to suicide this year, and the pain of that loss is something I carry with me every day. It’s a stark reminder that we can never truly know the struggles others are facing, even those closest to us. Mental health struggles are often invisible, making it all the more important to take the time to check in on our loved ones and those around us. If you or someone you know is struggling, here’s a list of international suicide hotline numbers: https://lnkd.in/ek45ivPc. Share this resource—it could save a life. Let’s be there for each other, not just today, but every day. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
Three people I know took their own lives this year… All of them young men under 30. As we carry on with our busy lives, let’s remember to check on our colleagues, friends, and family. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Mothers inspire their children to be their best. Today, I am reminded of the best advice that I received from my mother. My Mother would say to me when I was having difficulty in achieving a goal, “Luck comes to those who are prepared.” It was her way of saying success is earned through your efforts, not by chance. What is the best advice you received from your mother? Please share as a comment. #Mom #Gratitude #Mentoring #Leaders Longview Leader Corporation
Today is Mother’s Day in many countries around the globe. We honor our mothers on this day with flowers and gifts to show our appreciation for everything they do for us throughout the year. At Longview Leader Corporation, we wanted to express our gratitude for our mothers because of how their love and support have shaped our capacity to achieve and demonstrate empathy. We share these wishes with our employees. clients, friends of the firm, and families. Happy Mother’s Day to All Every Day! #RiskManagement #Family #MothersDay #LongviewLeader Valerie Nielsen

Found this article in Priya Parker’s newsletter (highly recommend) and totally get why adult sleepovers are catching on. Adult life today can feel like an overwhelming and lonely experience. That people are reimagining childhood traditions for adult life is no surprise. It’s like wanting to time travel back to when your life felt simple and you were allowed to be playful and simple and impetuous. When you could just be in one place and that place felt good. Maybe we should give ourselves more permission to revive childhood pleasures and reimagine children experiences? What do you think? #thetenpermissions #takeitoutside https://lnkd.in/dy_yj8kP

Happy Mother’s Day Mother’s day can mean different things to different people. To mothers, grandmothers, to ladies without children of their own. On a personal level the love one has for one’s children no matter the age and no matter the circumstances cannot really be adequately described. It is a sublime emotion. However being “motherly” is not only the domain of mothers who bear children. It is equally the important domain of those ladies who with no children of their own choose to chanel their natural motherly instincts for the good of the organisation to which they belong whether by profession or service, voluntary or otherwise. This helps in the grounding and human dimension of all such organisations and helps them flourish. So a Happy Mother’s day to all. #happymothersday
