What three words would you use to describe the support? Feedback from angel clients such as these two has been so important in nailing down what I do and how I do it. Can’t express enough gratitude to both Christopher Jaume and Abbie Jaume (née Neilson), as well as the epic extended Cooper King Distillery team for allowing me to part of an incredible milestone moment! “To be fair, I don't think any words fit just how much you have helped us!” A. “Perceptive. Invaluable. Compassionate.” S. If you’re still needing Christmas gifts - https://lnkd.in/ea63eG28 👌 Business Development is not just about shiny new contracts and exciting new products. It’s so important to regularly take stock of what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, and perhaps more importantly, why you’re doing it. I have consultancy spaces open to start in January so if you’re feeling overwhelmed or a little lost in direction, I’m here. What a gorgeous end to 2023! #businessdevelopment #smallbusinesssupport

Storytime: When I was 24 years old, I spent four years trying to open a Brewery with a couple of my best friends. It failed to get off the ground. Four years. Down the drain. We put our hard-earned money into the project. Shed blood, sweat, and tears (minus the blood). Countless ups and downs. And no Brewery to show for it. Zero revenue earned. No customers served. Zero pints of delicious beer drank. Dream crushed. Ok, end of sob story. While my Brewery never came to fruition, several lessons were learned from that adventure. Here are a few: 1. Be sure to have an excellent support system when you're going into business for yourself. 2. Have more money in reserves than you initially planned for. Seriously, if you have access to extra capital, you might need it. 3. Improve your selling and persuasion skills. You might think you're good now, but you aren't even close to being as good as you NEED to be. Get better. 4. Understand what you're signing up for. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. It will be a TON of hard work and sacrifice. I'm forever grateful for my failed Brewery. Why? Because I learn more from my losses than my wins. Anyone out there have a failed business story? #Business #failure #inspiration #lifelessons

ONE WEEK left to get your business nominated for 'Best of 225!" One week left to use this opportunity to: 1) show your team YOU think they're worthy of being considered "the best" by simply asking them to nominate your business. 2) show your customers and supporters YOU care about their opinion and support by simply asking for their nomination. 3) generate content that's not yet another sales pitch. 4) generate momentum and create another month's worth of even stronger "1,2 and 3"🔝 when you're nominated and voting begins 5) generate MONTHS of momentum when you WIN, celebrate it, advertise it, increase morale, increase retention, and increase engagement with your team and customers, leading to more sales and more donors. It's not just a popularity contest. It's not beneath you to ask for support. It's not going to cost you a thing. It could be ALOT of fun. It's just an opportunity or a missed opportunity. You get to decide. #makeworkworthit

Just like the mad butchers meat, you just can't beat face-to-face conversations and all the insights they bring (all you NZer's and Aussies should get that reference). ⚡ I spent most of my time yesterday behind Parallo's Southern SaaS booth restocking merch and talking to the NZ SaaS community. 🙌 Despite not catching as many talks as I'd have liked, the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations (but not as awkward as the Bachelor) and share stories is one of my favourite parts of the job, so I made the most of it! 💡 I met customers, enthusiastic founders, other sponsors, new Parallo partners and many in-between! 🎉 I want to also express gratitude to Grant Osborne, Kim Ellis, kiwiSaaS Community and the Parallo team for their support in the lead-up to this event and on the day. 🌟 Here's to more opportunities for growth, learning, and collaboration! 🥂 P.S. If you don't get that reference. There is a butchery in NZ + AU called The Mad Butcher and they ran a campaign with the slogan "You just can't beat the Mad Butcher's meat!" Very catchy. #SouthernSaaS #kiwiSaaSCommunity #SaaSCommunity #EventMarketing #BrandActivation #EventPlanning #TradeShow #Conference #TheMadButcher #ROI #EventEngagement #SaaSy

What does it take to be a successful founder ? I have had the pleasure to work with 00's over my career. The one common thread that runs through them all is. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. A few months a go I met Stuart Coleman, through the Kindreds Group of Drinks Founders. He was raising money for HAELU Drinks, and hustling on all fronts. There was a bubbling desire to create and independent drinks festival within the group and before you knew it DRINK IT IN Festival was born, a venue was secured a date was set and we were on. I have watched in awe as he has gone about creating something from nothing - with no investment, a genuine skill. So this post is a shout out to Stuart Coleman a true example of a 'journeyman' founder. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 1️⃣ Drinks brands in my network who do not know about this... DM Stuart Coleman for information on stands there are a FEW left. 2️⃣ Anyone with any drinks buying responsibility or a curious investor you need to be there. Check this link out - https://lnkd.in/eXakrqDt 3️⃣ Curious drinks consumers - get your ticket this is going to be a vibe. I am also going to on one of the panels. With Eoin Keenan, Anthony Wilson, Blake Gladman Talking about: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 based on my report High and Dry Ltd So make sure you're there.
