Ray Dalio's Principles come to mind, & moreso his permutations on America's possible eco-socio-political trajectory this watershed election year, including the more entrenched national division & incoherence. What Ray Dalio observed historically as a set-up for possible civil disobedience & or conflict. Yes, I avoided saying "civil war". Outrageous, yes. Also keen to see the verdict's effects on the upcoming fiercest American elections. As well as effects on democracy both in America & globally, geopolitics, & indeed on America's role as the beacon of democracy. It seems the former President's base is quite enraged whilst the other side seems to be in celebratory mode. Will SCOTUS intervene, when & to what effect?

What we know. Events: Trump appears to have been shot. He was bleeding. He is ok now. The picture and video of his defiant fist bump and calls to “fight” will define the campaign and lots more. Reports of others injured but more details to come. Campaign falllout: Trump’s defiance in the face of this contrasts with Biden and deep questions of his age and strength and might transform the campaign. Already dangerous social media posts blaming Dems and left for this means we could see a surge of political violence. Let’s hope all leaders condemn violence. Questions now: 1. Who did it and why? 2. How did security fail to stop it? 3. Who else hit? 4. Impact on campaign? 5. History of political violence in the US is long… does this escalate political violence in the US? More political violence and shootings expected? The fall out has just begun. We will cover in GZERO 6.

OH REALLY DONALD? Trump asks why the prosecution didn't call witnesses for Trump. I know this is a tough theory but let's try. Because that's YOUR job Donald. Why didn't Trump call these witnesses he says would have gotten him off? Donald Trump is LITERALLY asking the equivalent of. "Why didn't I get $200 when YOU passed Go?" HE HID He said he will "Absolutely Testify." several times leading up to the trial. He cried about a gag order that had nothing to do with testifying. Then he never testified. Now, after he had every chance to call ANYONE HE WANTED TO to defend him, he claims it was unfair that the prosecution didn't seek these "perfect witnesses" themselves. But this is par for the course: all talk and bluster with no substance, just anger, projection and fear. CONCLUSION So there are only two options as to why Trump is talking about the case in this manor. 1. He is lying. In which case, he knows he is being dishonest when he says it and is trying to trick YOU. That's propaganda. He is selling you a lie to an end other than what he states in that lie. 2. He did not know what he was talking about. That's incompetence. He is trying to pin the incompetence, in the public arena, as corruption by the other side. Either way.
