500 applications in a week 🤯 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? 👉 The market is crowded, a lot of folks are looking for new positions. We noticed it almost a year ago; it's even more visible now. 👉 Full remote positions are still highly attractive! Many companies started to apply "Back to the office" policies which reduce their employees' retention capacity. 👉 In the current financial context where efficiency is key, I've heard too many stories of Product Managers being micro-managed and not autonomous in making decisions. Critical thinking: During the course of any program, critical thinking skills are a must to manage interdependencies between teams, analyze program risks and help mitigate those risk and solve problems to move the program forward. I would love to share a well-written thoughtful message about the layoff of 1,520 people from Spotify. But I actually can't; the words aren't there for me. Instead, I'd love to focus your attention to 2 Google Sheet lists (linked below). These were responses to Google Forms which are being circulated internally, to collect the names and information of those who were impacted. These lists are actively being updated with new names of those who were impacted, and can and should be shared widely throughout your network, if you want to help. These lists are a true goldmine- each line contains the name of someone with talent, ingenuity, innovative thinking, a collaborative spirit, passion, tenacity... in fact, I *could* actually find hundreds more words to describe what kinds of INCREDIBLE people Spotify choses (or in this case, had chosen) to employ. - If you are hiring, look no further than these lists. These are people you want in your company, on your team, and in your life.
