Recent discussions regarding recruitment fair opportunities have prompted an important observation. I highly recommend teachers NOT to attend "The Modern Teacher Recruitment Fair" - where they've mastered the art of turning qualified educators into queue-management experts. Nothing screams "we value teachers" quite like making 100+ professionals stand in line for hours while administrators bask in their hiring power from their air-conditioned sanctuary. A truly innovative way to help teachers practice their classroom patience skills! Education professionals seeking opportunities may wish to consider alternative recruitment channels that better value their credentials and time! #TeacherAppreciation #WaitingForGodot #EducatorResources #ProfessionalDevelopment

Ever been in a conversation when you know things are getting awkward? Don't know what to do to end the conversation? It's happened to all of us before. A conversation getting a little longer than it should and you're getting fidgety. Three things you can easily end a conversation without being rude. 1. recap what was discussed and ask if that was discussed. 2. Talk about the next steps or course of action as a follow up. 3. End the meeting with a confirmation of the next steps and/or set the next meeting. Then thank your counterpart for his/her time. Quick and simple. Try it! Me seen here with Udayakumar Ganapathy looking like we're the ones being interviewed for a job at Sunway Uni's recruitment fair #leadership #vlanasia

This comment, in response to a recent qualitative question I asked about those employers' offering 'the LEAST impressive and effective recruiting event', maps to a SRG research data point about UR recruiting engagement. Students want to hear about employers’ JOB OPPORTUNITIES when they interact with representatives at career fairs and events: ➡ Their #1 reason for attending recruiting events is “to learn about specific job opportunities; what I would actually DO there?” ➡ On a 10-point Likert scale, they rated their agreement with this statement at 8.91 – even exceeding access to interviewing opportunities! 👉 Want to “meet students where they are”? Deliver the content they expect - and value.

The role of a recruiter is multifaceted and demanding, encompassing a myriad of responsibilities beyond what meets the eye. After reading some articles today I believe to be crucial to dispel the misconception that applicants are left in the dark after submitting their resumes. Recruiters juggle a plethora of tasks daily, from conducting back-to-back interviews to managing a deluge of emails and inquiries. Engaging with job fairs, hiring events, and consistently posting on various platforms are integral parts of their routine. In the realm of recruitment, each position comes with specific prerequisites tailored to our niche industry. Rest assured, every application is meticulously reviewed, and hiring decisions are meticulously made based on a range of factors. Acknowledging and appreciating applicants is not just a responsibility but a commitment we hold dear. Your efforts in applying or seeking further information are valued, and we strive to ensure that acknowledgment is extended. For any queries regarding your application, feel free to reach out to Tarah Reece at 205-521-6919. In the event I am unavailable, leave a message, and your call will be promptly returned. Additionally, our website https://lnkd.in/dca7HCju offers a texting option to keep you informed about your application status. I make it a priority to respond to all calls within 24-48 hours, notwithstanding potential travel commitments that may momentarily limit email access. Your patience is appreciated, and I am dedicated to updating you as soon as possible.
