Hartford Foundation for Public Giving’s Post

This spring, nonprofit leaders, activists, and community members from Greater Hartford’s LGBTQIA+ community gathered for a meeting hosted by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. They discussed a new study on key quality of life issues in their community. The Foundation partnered with DataHaven, who authored the report "LGBTQIA+ Resident Wellbeing in Greater Hartford" and presented the findings. Participants then shared their own experiences and discussed solutions to critical issues. This collaboration aims to shed light on the quality of life for LGBTQIA+ individuals in Greater Hartford. The report's findings are intended to help organizations and funders better understand and address the conditions affecting the health and wellbeing of this community. A key feature of the study is its detailed data, which explores the lives of LGBTQIA+ residents at the intersection of other identities, including age, disability, race, and ethnicity.
