While I completely agree with the premise of this article about the significant benefits of practicing silence, you mentioned journaling in silence which is great, but practicing true silence is a practice without any distraction. Sitting and being in silence with no action being done, just presence with yourself. Journaling is an extremely useful tool especially after you have sat in true silence.

I practice Vipassana meditation, a technique learned by taking a 10 day retreat in complete silence, totally removed from the outside world. The silence and inner peace experienced is profound. It clarifies your mind and purifies your heart, fundamentally changing how you see yourself and the world. In short, true silence has the power to make you a better person.

Unless you're someone who processes best out loud. Don't speak for the sake of speaking. But don't be silent if your thoughts need air to land.

Personally, incorporating periods of silence into my daily routine has made a significant difference in how I manage stress and approach challenges. It’s about finding clarity in the chaos and realigning with what truly matters.

Silence can be a powerful tool in our hectic world. It’s not just about pausing; it’s about opening up space for new ideas to flourish.

In an era of noise, silence is a virtue. Silence and tuning out the noise helps introspect. Under the garb of being busy and always consuming information, the space that's created by incorporating meaningful silence in our daily lives is underrated.
