The issue of toxic workplace culture has really been weighing on me for more than a decade. This is an issue that I talk about and provide solutions for in my keynote presentations and my advisory services. I wanted to announce and shine a light on the impact. My firm just commissioned a study that revealed some truly alarming statistics: Billions of dollars lost ($914 billion), disengaged employees, and even a toll on people's health—all because of unfair treatment at work. It's just not right. No one deserves to feel disrespected, undermined, or unsafe at their job. We all deserve to work in environments that value us, where we can feel good about what we do and contribute our best. This is especially true in healthcare, where high turnover rates can impact patient care. The good news is that there's a lot we can do to turn this around. In our first national research report (link in the comments), we've outlined some actionable steps for creating workplaces free from injustice.
