Following the sad loss this week of the legendary poet, Benjamin Zephaniah’s his timely poem reminds us all to be kind to one another and the importance of connecting with others ❤️ People need people, To walk to To talk to To cry and rely on, People will always need people. To love and to miss To hug and to kiss, It’s useful to have other people. To whom to moan If you’re all alone, It’s so hard to share When no one is there. There’s not much to do When there’s no one but you. People will always need people. To please To tease To put you at ease, People will always need people. To make life appealing And give life some meaning, It’s useful to have other people. It you need a change To whom will you turn. If you need a lesson From whom will you learn. If you need to play You’ll know why I say People will always need people. As girlfriends As boyfriends From Bombay To Ostend, People will always need people- To have friendly fights with And share tasty bites with, It’s useful to have other people. People live in families Gangs, posses and packs, Its seems we need company Before we relax, So stop making enemies And let’s face the facts, People will always need people, Yes People will always need people. – Benjamin Zephaniah, rest in peace 🤍 #Kindness #KindnessIsContagious #BeKind #Poetry

Happy Birthday to Palestinian-American poet, Naomi Shihab Nye, whose wise kindness is an inspiration on the page & off 🙏🏼✨ Kindness Before you know what kindness really is you must lose things, feel the future dissolve in a moment like salt in a weakened broth. What you held in your hand, what you counted and carefully saved, all this must go so you know how desolate the landscape can be between the regions of kindness. How you ride and ride thinking the bus will never stop, the passengers eating maize and chicken will stare out the window forever. Before you learn the tender gravity of kindness you must travel where the Indian in a white poncho lies dead by the side of the road. You must see how this could be you, how he too was someone who journeyed through the night with plans and the simple breath that kept him alive. Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing. You must wake up with sorrow. You must speak to it till your voice catches the thread of all sorrows and you see the size of the cloth. Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore, only kindness that ties your shoes and sends you out into the day to gaze at bread, only kindness that raises its head from the crowd of the world to say It is I you have been looking for, and then goes with you everywhere like a shadow or a friend. https://lnkd.in/erb8zNBs #palestine #poetry #inspirationalquotes

✨nobody but you✨ nobody can save you but yourself. you will be put again and again into nearly impossible situations. they will attempt again and again through subterfuge, guise and force to make you submit, quit and /or die quietly inside. nobody can save you but yourself and it will be easy enough to fail so very easily but don’t, don’t, don’t. just watch them. listen to them. do you want to be like that? a faceless, mindless, heartless being? do you want to experience death before death? nobody can save you but yourself and you’re worth saving. it’s a war not easily won but if anything is worth winning then this is it. think about it. think about saving your self. your spiritual self. your gut self. your singing magical self and your beautiful self. save it. don’t join the dead-in-spirit. maintain your self with humor and grace and finally if necessary wager your self as you struggle, damn the odds, damn the price. only you can save your self. do it! do it! then you’ll know exactly what I am talking about. “nobody but you” by Charles Bukowski from Sifting Through the Madness for the Word, the Line, the Way, 2002 #saveyourself #toxic #toxicity #toxicworkplace #innerself #poetry #bukowski #justdoit #nobodybutyou

The lines "Ranjha Ranjha kardi ni mein aape Ranjha hoi" are from a famous Punjabi folk song and Sufi poetry. They express the deep love and devotion of Heer for her lover, Ranjha. The phrase translates to "Saying 'Ranjha, Ranjha', I myself have become Ranjha." It signifies that Heer's constant remembrance and love for Ranjha have transformed her identity to the extent that she and Ranjha are inseparable. This idea applies to various parts of life, such as passion for your work, dedication to a cause, or spiritual devotion. A filmmaker pours heart and soul into their project, living every scene. Similarly, when you're passionate about your job, your work becomes a reflection of you. Dedication to a cause can transform you, merging your identity with the movement you support. Spiritual devotion can lead to oneness with the divine. True immersion in what you love can change you and create a powerful, unifying bond.

Enough worked guys! It is Friday!! 🌻 Allow me to present a poetic experience for all to satiate that artist in you!! Here is a Poem from my upcoming book in Feb 2024 Titled - Naari "शक्ति" Rocks! Interestingly, both English and Hindi versions of the Poems are available. ------------------------------------------------------ Title: “Where he buys such power from?” Father felt weak, the first time when he had your first touch in his lap, Let us see today, where from he buys such power, Without finishing his own childhood and youth, took on the responsibility, He was also fond of once listening to his mother, the story, The bond with his dreams broke, ever since the queen came into the life, He had a lot to do and say, but no one listened to him including his wife. Let us see today, where he buys such power from? He shouldered family, society, and many lives, He did sweat profusely but did not hide in a hive. He sweated a lot, saved from the soot of the coal mine, brought the mascara, to make his little one shine, everyone felt that the little one was decorated very well, did not let anyone know, it required killing his dreams and diving in a well, How graciously the almighty has created, the father said to his father - How did you maintain so many relations? the pain you underwent, did not find any mention. Listen to the wisdom from a father now – Being a father is a blessing, keeping all your relations. Respect everyone, smile is your only mention, get ready with your hard work now, so, you marry your daughter some time from now, Would it be wrong to ask now, where he buys such power from? In a new city, fought unaware of the fight, tried his best, There was talk in his hard work, blessing in from the best. When there is honesty in action, there is a saying from the west. Angel’s sing: Take your hard-earned aids and leave the rest. Would it be wrong to say, who is alive for your loved ones and others, is called Father! Gave courage, love, strength, fame, and wealth, If there was no him, how would a mother be a mother ……………………..read the upcoming lines the section – ERA 6: Towards SOLUTIONS>>Surprise for the Men, finally! Men get space here! -------------------------------------------------------------------- You wondered about the poem as the book's title takes us towards women's empowerment right? Wrong! The upcoming book takes you through 7 ERAs, which seek to bring out the balance of feminine and masculine energies! Cheers!! Have fun, and don't forget that artist in you! #writerscommunity #womenempowerment #artist #poetrylovers

Today my colleague Janet ended the morning meeting with a phrase that I would like to share with you: "Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place." I love the sentence... I googled about who is/was Rumi: Persian poet of the 13th century, whose writings often explore themes of love, devotion, inner peace, etc. The message can be interpreted in several ways, from "embrace your surroundings", "find inner peace", "make a positive impact" (or other meanings). I like very much the idea of making a positive impact, which is what we want to do at Child-Help... But it applies to everybody in the working environment: By being the "soul" of a place, one can contribute positively to it. This could involve bringing joy, kindness, creativity, or any other positive qualities that enhance the atmosphere and experience for oneself and others, hence super important for #teamwork #motivation #inspiration, etc. I hope you enjoy to be the soul of wherever you are right now.

This is a PRAYER. I already started saying Amen, but to help those who don’t really understand poetry: this is like confirmation that your trial days are over. Be it rejection, heartbreak, or sickness. If you have been applying for so many things and you have been getting rejections, try this one last time. Your YES is coming. If you have been having stunted growth in your business, hold on; don’t give up. Your rain is coming, and your well will be full (clients will pay, people will buy, and sales and referrals will be so much). If you are trusting God for something, remain in thanksgiving and dance in your challenges. Your miracle is on the way. Affliction will not rise again. Your present condition will forever be a story that will not surface again. Smile, laugh, be happy. Abundance is all the way. You won!!!! P.S. This was meant to be a depressive poem, but after writing it, the Holy Spirit gave it a new light 🥹. Even I couldn’t believe or accept that this was going to be a jolly poem that later turned into a prayer that made me say Amen. The caption is long 😅… yeah, I know, but still, I hope you really take this poem seriously as a prayer. SOMETHING GOOD IS COMING! #purpleheartgirl #poetry #spokenwordpoetry #motivationalpoem #mentalhealthawareness #peacefullness #happinesspoetry #smileforever #hopeiscoming #faith #recovery #mentalhealth

Every dream has a story of its own. What did your's tell you? Write that story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Story Project 14. Calling for the submissions of #shortstories, #essays and #poems. Echoes and Whispers from another world. It could be anything that you want it to be, as long as 'another world' in the submitted story or the poetry is clearly perceived and significantly defined. It could be ghosts, or a dream, or aliens. A person suffering amnesia, or maybe an Alzheimer's patient. A case of hypnotising. Maybe a reincarnation, a person who remembers what happened in the earlier birth. Or a simple gardener who talks to the trees while serving them. Conversations with God and spirituality. Conversations with Satan. black magic. Memories & restrictions of old age. Submit your story! For the submission guidelines and the rewards, click here: https://lnkd.in/daQFnjaE

#original #Bible #paraphrase #series In the most recent article in the Perfectly Paired Partner series (Guidepost 9) You will see the revised version of this biblical paraphrase work that was started at the end of June 2024. In the original One Year Journey With Jesus Bible/Study I first began posting my paraphrases of the book of Matthew along with an overview of each section. The new series that has been in the works is an expansion of this original work, and yet the "Living With God" paraphrases are being prepared differently. In this series the storyline will focus primarily on God, rather than the bible stories, so that one can read (by way of God's perspective) the point of each story that was set into motion. This is the second (+) cross-reference in the new Perfectly Paired Partners II story that includes a biblical #quote that was revised in order for the origin of the phrase to be less obvious. You will notice, when this is done with a (+) and no number associated with this (+) that this is a cross-reference to work of the author that is outside of the current series. The (+) references with numbers within the "Perfectly Paired Partners II" story have notes indicating what the (+) reference is referring to. To see the revised version, that is contained within the story, and posted online, you can review that here: https://lnkd.in/gwd7BV8G
