The VDE is one of the largest technology organizations in Europe and is well known in the electrical and information industry. It makes an important contribution to product safety, the further development of standards and consumer protection. In an interview with Ansgar Hinz, Chairman of the Board/CEO of the VDE Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies, the challenging dynamics of the ongoing change process are emphasized, which require an enormous degree of perseverance and consistency. NEW EVENT ALERT | From Constraint to Catalyst With a clear commitment to transition to renewable energy sources, increasingly scarce water supply and the rapidly changing technology landscape – enabling infrastructure must evolve and adapt if we are to deliver sustainable communities into the future. Working collaboratively to proactively plan, coordinate and deliver strategically important infrastructure ‘at the right time’ has never been more crucial to catalyse development for the creation of new homes to accommodate population growth. Join UDIA WA as we explore innovative approaches to strategic infrastructure design, planning and delivery including the constraints and opportunities to catalyse housing supply. Infrastructure WA Chief Executive Officer Philip Helberg will join us to provide an update on the latest developments on implementation of the State Infrastructure Strategy and critical infrastructure investment in WA, as well as insights from a national perspective. Work Package leaders provided updates, and the meeting was followed by an insightful visit to the 𝐗 𝐥𝐚𝐛. 🌟 𝐄𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐭 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (November 2023): INTERSTORE showcased innovations at the Enlit Europe Conference, drawing attention at the Int:net booth in the EU Projects Zone Hub. Coordinator Antonello Monti from RWTH Aachen University chaired an Int:net session, sparking valuable conversations in the energy community. 🔗 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 (January 2024): Partners delved into "Interoperable hybrid distributed Energy Storage Systems," exploring challenges, standards, and future prospects. I have to confess I did not see it coming… twice!!! First, the new brand campaign of E.ON - #itsonus - talk about taking ownership of the energy transition! I could not have asked for more. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 But then, getting the great Christoph Waltz himself 🤩 to front it - the icing almost matches the cake 🌟🌟🌟! Stepping away a bit from great communication though, E.ON is indeed - across all its businesses - driving the Energy transition as if our survival depends on it. And to an extent, it does: - Just imagine the grid not being ready in time to absorb all the renewable capacity coming online over the next decade, or… - …not being able to support the electrification of the entire German automotive landscape, let alone many other industries). Those are just two of many such challenges we need to overcome in order to make the energy transition real. And we at E.ON Inhouse Consulting GmbH are helping overcome as many of these challenges as we can - capacity and number of hours in the day / week permitting, that is… Proud to be owning it.
