✨Throwback Thursday ✨
Last month, Alicia and Katya had the pleasure of spending time together in the stunning city of Tagaytay in the Philippines, where they were mesmerised by the breathtaking view of Taal Volcano.
It was a great opportunity to unwind, connect, and create memories that will cherish forever.
Finally meeting our team members in person, this trip was all about building stronger relationships. They couldn’t be more grateful for the warmth and hospitality of the people they met along the journey.
Here's to more adventures and shared experiences!

Commercial Real Estate Principals: Accelerate revenue growth with the right people in your team, serving ideal clients, inside a business that just works | DM me 'GROW' and let's chat
We’ve taken Juna to Bali for her 4th birthday.
It’s probably one more trip than we needed to take this year.
But it’s consistent with my current plan of spending 3 months of the year overseas.
Some people might say 3 months of travel is a bit excessive.
Or that if my “real” life was any good, then I would not want to take that much time away from it.
But doing this proves it’s possible to grow my business while working fewer hours than I previously did (it’s happening).
And as long as I work smarter, and don’t lose focus on delivering more value to clients, I believe that it’s sustainable.
This supports my vision and aligns with my values (I’m not the hustle guy).
And it’s also what I want to help my clients achieve for themselves.
Because even though 3 months off for a commercial real estate principal might not be possible.
The broader point is that we are all compensated based on the value we deliver.
Not by the amount of time we spend creating it.
And that’s one of the main things I help my clients make the most of.
Outside of the business, this is something we have the ability to do now.
While Juna is young enough to not worry about her missing school.
And, by the end of every trip away, we grow closer as a family, too.
Which makes it the best possible of investment of time we could ever make.

We believe in fostering connections that extend beyond the office walls. Through our immersive experience at the Tertúlia Algarvia, we gained invaluable insights into the intersection of food and teamwork.
Beyond professional alliances, we connected on a personal level, sharing stories, laughter, and moments of joy. It's not just about transactions; it's about creating relationships.
Just like in the kitchen, effective communication is essential in the workplace.
We learned how to coordinate tasks, share ideas, and ensure everyone is on the same page, resulting in smoother workflows and better outcomes. In the kitchen, things don't always go according to plan. We learn to adapt on
the fly, improvise when needed, and overcome challenges together.
Cooking allowed us to unleash our creativity. In our professional endeavors,
thinking outside the box and embracing innovation can lead to groundbreaking
solutions and ideas.
Food brings people together from different backgrounds and cultures. By
embracing diversity within team, we enrich our perspectives, foster inclusivity, and create a more vibrant and dynamic work environment.
In sharing our journey at Tertúlia Algarvia, we aim to inspire other teams to explore the transformative power of combining food and teamwork.

In the construction sector warm-up exercises are a crucial aspect of ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Before commencing physical activities, workers should participate in a series of stretching and mobilisation exercises to prepare their muscles and prevent injuries. These exercises may include neck stretches, shoulder rolls, wrist extensions, and knee squats. By incorporating warm-up exercises into their daily routine, construction workers can reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders, improve their flexibility and coordination, and enhance their overall productivity and wellbeing.
In Aotearoa (New Zealand), the video captures the start of my safety meeting. In Māori culture, I refer to this as Whanaungatanga, the development of relationships through shared experiences, collaboration, and trust, fostering a strong sense of belonging among workers.
What started as a simple idea to connect with our Jakarta team members turned into an incredible team-building adventure in Bali, back in August.
Amid unanimous enthusiasm, everyone collaborated to turn this vision into reality, going above and beyond to ensure its success, even when it meant topping up the modest budget we were given.
The 2 days 3 nights trip proved to be truly transformative, reigniting our team spirit and fortifying our connections. I noted 3 key takeaways:
🚀 Boost Morale: Engaging activities and "masterclasses" injected fresh motivation and camaraderie, fostering a deeper understanding among team members.
💪🏼 Strengthened Relationships: Exploring new places and immersing ourselves in nature created lasting bonds and strengthened our interpersonal connections.
🌎 Cultural Awareness: Experiencing different cultures broadened our perspectives, enhancing inclusivity within the team and encouraging mutual respect.
Despite the constraints of time, resources, and energy, experiences like these are invaluable in humanizing our work relationships beyond the office space.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our exceptional team for their unwavering support in making this journey a reality. To express my appreciation, I've created a video to commemorate this unforgettable trip and to thank each and every one of you. 🙏🏼
