When you start your own company, it's not often you get a chance to step back and reflect on it until later on in life. Entrepreneurs take the leap for many different reasons. They've found an opportunity in their marketplace. They have a passion driving them to it. They want to be a boss and control their destiny. Money. 5 years ago, two of my best friends and I decided that it was time for us to make a change and for none of the reasons above. It was about relationships and a goal to shift to balance between our work and personal lives. It starts off sounding like the opening line to a joke. A Civil Engineer/Project Manager, a Product Marketer and a Digital Marketer walk into a conference room... We had worked for another company, sharing an 8x8 office for over 5 years and LOVED working together. We all brought different perspectives from our past lives and challenged each other to think differently. We worked on the same projects and clients together helping them navigate through their own business challenges. We loved it. The average person will work over 90,000 hours in their lifetime. That is 1/3 of their entire lives. That's about the same amount of time that someone sleeps. It's an incredible (good or bad) way to look at how much time we spend here. Working together for those years, we realized that rarely do you get a chance to pick who you want to work with in your life. The three of us knew, if it was going to happen, this was our chance to do it. We wanted to work with clients (and specifically, the PEOPLE who work for those clients) that was equally important. Having our work days filled between working with friends and clients you trust and truly enjoy supporting while providing fulfilling work for 9 hours a day? That was it. We thought it would be just the three of us at Strand for a long time - and we were perfectly content with that. A year later, we hired our first employee Erin Williams - and what a hire that was. 4 years later, there are now 25 of us and we are still growing. These 5 years (albeit 2 COVID years) have gone by in a blur. I love the people we get to do it with. I love the work we get to do. I love the balance we've been able to provide ourselves to start, build and grow our individual families outside of the workplace. I want to thank Ethan Wright and Jocelyn (Hein) Uhls for taking the leap with me. I want to thank our clients for taking the leap with us as well and allowing us to support you and your own business objectives and goals. And I want to thank the team here at Strand Marketing for giving us (at least a portion of) your work life every day. I think we've said this every year, but 5 years in and we're still only getting started.
Today marks five years of Strand's journey. From humble beginnings, we've grown exponentially, winning prestigious awards and expanding our business reach. It's a journey marked by the collective efforts of an exceptional team, whose resilience and creativity have fueled our success. As we celebrate this milestone, we extend our deepest gratitude to our clients, partners, and supporters for their trust and belief in our vision. We look forward to the future, where we'll continue to push boundaries, innovate, and make a difference in our industry and beyond. Cheers to five incredible years and the opportunities that lie ahead! #strandmarketing #StrandAnniversary #FiveYearsStrong #anniversary

Chaos! Last year when we ventured to start our own entity it was full of Chaos! Obviously in the beginning we had good deal of information on what we wanted to accomplish, and we were quite clear on our Vision. However, the market uncertainties and initial failures kept knocking us back to the wall! The most important thing what as a startup we did is - we stopped seeking too much of clarity of the situation and started giving our commitment to make things work! We learnt it in our way that "Chaos and Uncertainty are best friends of a Startup!" Which will make us thrive hard and give our best to excel in our goals! Who would have thought that - The idea which started on a causal coffee break! The plan which was jotted on a dinner table paper napkin! And the team who stood with me for a decade through the thick and the thin! All put together builds an entity and here we stand tall at the first milestone celebrating the First birthday of our baby – “Agnile Technologies”! Amazing! It was an action-packed year, nothing less than raising a baby where each moment was filled with surprises! every small stuff made us to feel the joy and every tiny hurdle made us to feel like climbing a mountain! But what we enjoyed the most is ‘The Journey Of Raising An Organisation!’ Now, at the end of year ONE! When I recap what we achieved? Our both verticals ‘Product House’ and ‘Service House’ are doing extremely great and It’s really satisfying as these accomplishments were done when the market is facing severe headwind with various Geopolitical & Technological uncertainties! We were positive in using the headwind and steering our organization to takeoff! Now it’s time to convert the startup into a scaleup! Stay tuned for lap TWO, And cheer for us! @Agnilers its celebration time! #Agnile #Anniversary #Godspeed
So how do we say it? Are we one year old OR are we one year young? We take it either way! as we’re growing! Thanks to all our customers & partners for the trust that was showered on us and helping us to deliver value to their business! Special Thanks to all the ‘Agnilers’ in believing the concept of ‘Agnile’ and joining hands in building this organization! #Agnile #Anniversary

The last 12 months have felt like a relentless roller coaster in the recruitment world. The constant barrage of change has left us all asking, "How much more can we take?" With market dynamics yo-yoing, stress and worry have become constant companions for both employers and job seekers. Interestingly, many employers are now pressing pause on hiring decisions until after the Easter holidays. It's clear that this isn't just about strategic timing; it's about fatigue. We're all feeling it - mentally, emotionally, and yes, economically too. But here's the silver lining: the upcoming Easter holidays present a golden opportunity for some much-needed R&R. Let's use this time to recharge, to find our bearings, and prepare for what's next with renewed energy and optimism. Wishing everyone a peaceful and restorative Easter. Here's to coming back stronger. Happy Easter!

I have been in a state of reflection this morning, as I take some time to think about the new year, and begin developing my career journey story. I was taking the below picture to encapsulate a holiday tradition that I enjoyed with my children in their younger years, and felt a deep resonance with that snapshot of time. Each year, for 9 years, one of the presents each of them unwrapped was a nutcracker and another, a Christmas ornament they would place on the tree. Each object represented a summation of what was important in that year-what interests or expressions seemed to embody each of them. The right hand side of the window is my daughter’s and the left is my son’s. Two things stood out to me as I took this picture. The first was that I realized the impact that exercise had on me-challenging me to really reflect on the impact another person had on my life experience, and the second, was seeing the variation from year to year highlighted so succinctly. While my son’s nutcrackers varied mostly in style, shape, and color, my daughter’s showcased her transient interests over the years. In the moment I chose that tradition, I knew it would be impactful, but I never thought it might become a biography of sorts. To my children, it’s been a fun tradition where they knew what to expect every year. To me, it’s captured my legacy. My magnum opus. My children. Perhaps they’ll remember it when they have children of their own, and choose to pass it down, perhaps they won’t. Either way, its weight will carry on. Traditions can be hollow iterations, or they can be a methodical process of stability that profits change. It’s not the tradition itself that hold significance, but the journey it inspires. While parenthood is not typically taken into consideration when examining one’s career, I am so grateful for the presence and impact my children have had in and on my life. They have lit my path from the beginning towards leadership, ownership, and resilience and I will walk into the coming year with greater clarity, in this reflection on where I’ve been, and how it guides me forward. #journeyoflife #leadershipjourney #leadership #growthroughwhatyougothrough

Stacia Gerdts recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary working at Morningside. Congratulations, Stacia! We asked Stacia a series of questions about her time at Morningside over the years. Here's what she said: Q: What’s something you’ve done at Morningside that you’re proud of? A: Became a Program Manager Q: Do you have any advice for someone new to this field? A: Take it one day at a time, continue to be open to learning and growing, be patient with yourself, the people served and stakeholders and be present. You will be greatly rewarded by the relationships you build. Q: What originally brought you into this field and fueled your passion? A: I realized the industry I’d been in for 20+ years was drastically changing, and my current employer [at the time] was not. I felt I had two options; change employers to continue my career in that field or I could look for a whole new career, as I still had many, many, years to work. I had developed a strong relationship with Morningside for at least 10 years through my (previous) employer, and on a more personal level, I've had a desire to work with folks experiencing life differently since high school, and felt this was a good opportunity to take a risk. Q: What have you learned from your 10 years with Morningside? A: I couldn’t have imagined the personal growth I've made and the wonderful people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know. I am truly grateful to Morningside for believing in me and supporting my growth. I have learned everything! 😊 I had 0 experience before I came to Morningside and have learned so many things, I couldn't even begin to list them. Q: What has been your most impactful memory at Morningside? A: My most impactful memories are of the clients we serve, how it feels, and what a privilege it is for me to be a part of their successes and challenges, as well as see the pride they carry for [their] accomplishments. We get to see some amazing people do amazing things. Nothing can compare to that! #Morningside #supportiveemployment #ProgramManager #individualemployment #workanniversary #Congratulations #successfulmilestones #disabilityadvocacy

This month marks my 10th year (of corporate) work anniversary. I started working when I turned 14, washing dishes at a local restaurant because my mom threatened to take away my €2,50 weekly allowance if I would not start earning my own money on the side. Although I wanted to call CPS on her for this at the time, in hindsight it has brought me quite a lot. From that moment onward I juggled roles in restaurants, bars, pizza places, and healthcare - whilst trying to follow my education. Not the best combo. When I dropped out of school at 21, I found my first full-time position at Synpact. This is what kicked off my 10 year long corporate adventure. I'm aware that historically work anniversaries are celebrated after a certain amount of years, at a single employer. But as a classic millennial my career has consisted of a range of amazing employers and a variety of exciting projects. So no cake at my office desk from decade-long colleagues today, but I wanted to applaud myself nonetheless. It's been a wicked and rewarding ride. I honestly did not expect to hit this level of security, freedom, flexibility and confidence this soon. A very big thank you to all my previous employers, colleagues, clients, and friends who have helped shape this journey. I am very very grateful. And weirdly proud of myself. Cheers! - To another decade of growth! #workanniversary #remotework #businessanalyst
