To commemorate 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, Haymarket Media US volunteers lent a hand at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. The team packed and distributed 1,804 lbs. of vegetables, 1,558 lbs. of dry goods, and 1,640 lbs. of protein to 82 NYC households. The project was an opportunity to honor this significant day while giving back to the community. Gabe Dufurrena participated in the project. “I love the opportunity to work alongside the great people at HASK. As Haymarket’s 2024 internship program comes to a close, we’d like to thank our interns for all their hard work this summer! It’s been inspiring to see this group tackle challenges, collaborate with team members, and bring new energy to the workplace. This week, our interns put on a remarkable final group presentation for our senior leadership team, showcasing the knowledge and skills they acquired over the course of the program. Our interns worked together to create and produce a live event for one of our Medical Communication Advisor brands. Happy National Intern Day! This week our summer interns participated in a team-building urban scavenger hunt with “Game the City.” The event put interns’ problem solving skills and creativity to the test while fostering teamwork. Marketing intern Kathryn Schaefer shared her thoughts on the experience: "Participating in the scavenger hunt around New York City with my fellow interns was an exhilarating, bonding experience from start to finish. Our team worked together analyzing cryptic clues to uncover 10 spots throughout the city. The competitive spirit among us fueled our determination to solve each clue efficiently, all while bonding over shared excitement and laughter. What made the experience truly memorable was getting to know many of the other interns and discovering areas of New York I had been unfamiliar with before. The scavenger hunt will be cherished as a highlight of this summer’s internship experience at Haymarket, and I look forward to further building the positive connections I have found with my coworkers." Today we would like to recognize our interns and celebrate the future leaders and innovators of tomorrow!
