These trends underscore the increasing reliance on data-related roles, the prominence of the financial sector, and the continued growth of technology-related positions in Edinburgh. BUT, are there people out there with the skills to fill the vacancies? Businesses need to start looking at options (specialist recruitment consultants, upskilling staff, traineeships, and the elephant in the room - Visa sponsorships) aside from hoping for the best when advertising their vacancies.

Carter Lusher may understate ARInsights' current experience in providing AR services. #archat Especially since Symantec and Veritas Technologies LLC alum Esther Kim joined a couple of years ago, ARInsights has been scaling up its ServicePlus offerings. Integrating Wind will allow ARInsights to elevate those services quite substantially. Data engineer tops the Edinburgh list, followed by financial analyst, a sign of the importance of the financial services industry in the Scottish capital. As well as data engineer, the list also features another role in the technology sector – product owner, coming in the third spot. Here are some valuable roles Executive Assistants take on while assisting C-Level executives that you should consider applying for: Event Coordinator: coordinate corporate events and conferences. Handle all logistics needs involving the selection of venues, catering arrangements, and audio and visual setup. Project Manager: assist executives with various projects from start to completion. Track project milestones and ensure team members meet project deadlines.  Travel Planner: prepare travel itineraries, including booking flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and arranging visas and travel insurance. Data Analyst: collects data from various sources, analyzes and cleans up data, and creates visualizations of data which may include charts, graphs, and presentations.  Relationship Manager: the main point of contact for clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Handle all questions and concerns and assist in building strong relationships. 

There’s always something new to learn if you’re on our tech team! Our Business Intelligence Analyst, Steven Waites, tells it like it is: What made you want to work at Mr Price Group? I had initially heard many positive things from my personal network about Mr Price, with regards to both the culture and the room for growth. This made it an attractive option right from the start. At the current stage of my career, I was wanting to find a role that provided the opportunity to simultaneously maximize my personal development and contribute meaningfully through the work I did.  In addition to this, the large size of the group meant significant exposure to knowledge across a broad spectrum, both on industry and technical perspectives. It was also an extremely exciting prospect to be part of something big and work for one of South Africa's largest retailers. Q: What was the process behind your decision to work here? When I initially saw that the role was available, I had three main considerations in mind. Firstly, did the role align with my forward path and my career goals - essentially, would it help me develop and grow? Secondly did the company have values and beliefs that I agreed and subscribed to? Thirdly, were the working conditions and benefits (both direct and indirect) attractive?  This role and company ticked every box for me.
