Earlier this year, Coalition Greenwich (a division of CRISIL) interviewed corporate treasurers from large companies in Europe, North America and Asia. 90% of these treasurers say the key performance metrics used by their companies to assess the treasurers’ performance have changed over the past five years. Treasurers’ KPIs have shifted to become less focused on the execution of basic treasury functions and more linked to forward-looking risk management and strategic planning. https://lnkd.in/eQsB8dRF

Last week the SEC adopted amendments to open-end fund reporting and issued guidance relating to liquidity risk management programs. While the amendments do increase the reporting frequency and availability of Form N-PORT and Form N-CEN data, the SEC’s action is quite narrow. 🔎🇨🇭 Regulatory: FINMA revises the circular on liquidity for insurers As of January 1, 2024, insurers have an annual reporting obligation to the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA on liquidity planning (based on the revised Swiss Insurance Supervision Ordinance). In light of this, FINMA is completely revising its Circular 2013/5 “Liquidity – insurers”. It is thereby enhancing its supervisory practice on liquidity management and liquidity risk management and organising it into six subject areas based on principles: governance, liquidity management and planning, liquidity reserve, liquidity risk management, liquidity controlling and monitoring as well as the emergency concept in the event of bottlenecks.
