Gordon, II, CEO of Gordon Leadership Academy and Founder of Gordon Leadership Foundation Overcoming false beliefs is essential for success in any professional licensure assessment, including the school leadership licensure assessment or school superintendent assessment. Belief: If I fail the school leadership licensure assessment I am not capable of being an effective school leader. 2. Belief: Failing the assessment means I will never be able to achieve my career goals in education. 3. Belief: There is no point in trying again if I fail the assessment once. 4. Belief: My worth as a leader is solely determined by my performance on this assessment. 5. Belief: If I fail the assessment, it means that I am not meant to be a school leader. During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Network launched its first Middle Leadership Academy to support nine #CSU campus teams in implementing Executive Order (EO) 1110, which required the elimination of remedial English and mathematics courses. Our recent report highlights how campus teams utilized the Academy to plan and execute their responses to EO 1110 in math, explores the Academy's capacity for fostering equitable change within the CSU, and suggests that year-long leadership academies involving faculty, staff, and administrators can enhance the implementation of new policies mandated by the CSU Chancellor’s Office or campus leadership. Explore how our MLA is helping to implement system wide changes in the CSU here: https://buff.ly/4bGPc2z

SPS is bridging opportunity gaps to give ALL students the opportunity to live their best life. 94% of students graduate on time, including multilingual learners. Many districts expect the graduation rate for multilingual learners to be lower...making excuses instead of opportunity. So proud of SPS.
DISTRICT OF DISTINCTION: Spokane Public Schools has been honored as one of just six school districts in the country as a 2024 “District of Distinction." SPS was awarded for excellence in providing access and opportunity to all students, an initiative that had significant impact on student success, engagement and overall educational achievement. “Our staff works hard every day to ensure that each student feels a sense of belonging and is supported in achieving their dreams," said Superintendent Dr. Adam Swinyard. "I'm proud that their work is being recognized by the national educational community through this award." SPS received this recognition from the District Administration Leadership Institute, a national pre-K12 organization dedicated to advancing educational leadership, ensuring that the nation’s schools are equipped with the visionary guidance needed to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape. Its magazine District Administration is the most widely received and read publication for school district-level leaders nationwide. Learn more about the continuing work of Spokane Public Schools to fulfill our commitment that every student has a dream, access and opportunity for a happy and successful future at spokaneschools.org/equity. #SPSPromise

2024-2025 Collegiate DECA Vice President | Secretary of The Cyber Clinic [Co-Founder] | Public Relations at Layer Zero | Customer Service Associate at Green Cleaners Alteration Center
On July 8, your Collegiate DECA Executive Officers (Eric Bedrosian, Sophia Smith, James Jeffrey Rogers, and myself) hosted the first virtual Collegiate Town Hall. The purpose of this call was to bring new and returning Collegiate DECA members in a discussion environment in hopes to share feedback and suggestions to help each other have a successful year. For those who weren’t able to attend, here is what was discussed. After we had everyone introduce themselves, the first discussion was on Collegiate DECA Knowledge where members asked questions about Collegiate DECA. This included aspects on how the high school division is different from the collegiate division as Collegiate DECA members take on more independent tasks compared to high school members. The second topic was about Leadership Strategies as members discussed on what recommended officer positions chapters should have. Because officers hold a large responsibility for tasks, each chapter can be flexible on how many positions are needed to function. It was also mentioned how connecting with local businesses can start from your own connections and being involved in local events to network with small businesses. The last two topics were feedback for the collegiate division as well as how can we, as executive officers, assist our members in a more effective way. Members expressed that having more calls similar to the town hall can be beneficial as it allows those to understand Collegiate division more. On top of that, additional tips on how to fundraise can help chapters host even better events as well as bring more members to conferences like the ENGAGE conference and Collegiate ICDC. A special thanks to all the members who attended our town hall last week. Later this week, we will release the future Collegiate Calls list for the upcoming year so more of our members can learn and grow together. Continue to enjoy your summer. #deca #cdeca #collegiatedeca #BeTheOne

For far too long, many of the world’s business schools have failed to receive the recognition and visibility they deserve. Less than 1% of 16,000 business schools are ranked, while less than 10% are accredited by one of the three major business education accreditation bodies. Today, we are delighted to announce the launch of 𝘛𝘏𝘌 Business School Register, powered by Poets&Quants, the first-ever global directory of verified business schools. 𝘛𝘏𝘌 Register will showcase the many different business schools that merit visibility and recognition. Rewarding schools on the basis of inclusivity, not exclusivity and helping the different stakeholders, including students, faculty and alumni, to make more informed choices. Click here https://bit.ly/40fgGsZ to discover more about 𝘛𝘏𝘌 Register and how member schools will benefit from increased exposure through Times Higher Education and Poets&Quants. #BusinessEducation #TimesHigherEducation #PoetsAndQuants #IBE #Partnership #Innovation #Leadership #BusinessSchools #HigherEducation
