Understanding who we are is at the core of growing up for all of us, it’s complicated, confusing and at times confronting, and the process is lifelong. For young people living with brain injury, this journey is a thousand times more complex, and is further challenged by the lack of understanding they face. This month's understanding brain injury series will focus on how some of the young adults in our community learned to navigate this process, and find their way to understanding themselves, and more importantly, valuing themselves and their lived experience. For our community at Heads Together, these young people are a beacon of hope for families, and much needed trailblazers for the hundreds of thousands of young Australians living with brain injury. So please share these posts to acknowledge their courage, and if you’re thinking about kicking off 2024 with a positive impact, please consider making a donation to our organisation, every dollar goes to directly supporting a family or young person to join our community, connect with peers and receive on average 100hours of free support. https://lnkd.in/gU7eQwgU #ABI #TBI #braininjuryawareness #headstogetherforabi #headstogetherforbraininjury #nonprofit #braininjury #acquiredbraininjury #headinjury #traumaticbraininjury #braininjurysupport #mentalwellbeing #braininjuryadvocacy #inclusivity #LivedExperience #Volunteering #ABIAwareness #ABISurvivor #TBISurvivor #braininjurysurvivor #YouCantBeWhatYouCantSee #UnderstandMeUnderstandMyBrainInjury #YouCantUnderstandWhatYouDontKnow #understandingbraininjury #20yearsHeadsTogether
