Spring is finally here, and just like Hamilton, I couldn't be happier about it. Why? Longer daylight hours means early morning dog walks in the park, a non-negotiable for my wellbeing, and Hammy's! The stimulation of the senses with trees and plants starting to bloom. Plus, the warmer weather means it's almost time to ditch the coats and bust out the shorts! But you know what's really got me excited? Beyond the physical changes, what truly excites me about Spring is the chance for greater social connection. As we emerge from hibernation, there's no better time to reconnect, which we know is essential for our mental health and wellbeing. After months of hibernating indoors, it's high time to reconnect, and I want to use this Seasonal change as my excuse. Reach out, and let's make the most of this beautiful time of year. Whether it's a casual dog walk or catching up after work, I'm in! If you're itching to embrace the season and catch up, let's make plans. Use this as your reminder to catch up with those near and dear! #Spring #Wellbeing #Headstrong #Reconnect

I talked a little bit the other day about how being in nature can support our physical and mental wellbeing. That's not the only thing that nature has to offer us though... We are mammals living in this great and amazing ecosystem that we have the privilege of being a part of, and as such we are influenced (whether we recognise it or not) by the changing of the seasons. Living our urban lives in a world that has been made increasingly busy by our human endeavours has distanced us from connecting with the natural rhythms of the earth and has impacted our wellbeing as a result. Living in tune with the seasons can help us to find flow and connect with the sweetness of life. Want to learn how? Join me on 24th March to spend a morning exploring how the Spring can support you to grow and thrive. Whether it's through meditation, deep breathing exercises, or spending time in nature, find activities that help you de-stress and rejuvenate. Stay Connected: Summer is the perfect time to reconnect with loved ones. Plan outings, picnics, or virtual hangouts with friends and family to foster meaningful connections and strengthen your support network. Embrace Outdoor Activities: Get outside and enjoy the sunshine! Engage in outdoor activities that bring you joy, whether it's hiking, swimming, gardening, or simply taking a leisurely stroll in the park. Practice Gratitude: Cultivate a sense of gratitude for the beauty of the season. Take time each day to reflect on the things you're thankful for, whether it's a breathtaking sunset, a refreshing breeze, or moments of laughter with loved ones. Are you still searching for happiness? We've been guided to understand that happiness is the eternity of joyful moments, absence of problems, free of life issues, smiles & laughter throughout, sad free, etc etc. Let's be real, life will always have moody moments, ups and, of course downs. As always, we understand this in theory but it is always harder to face the experience of it. So how to be Happier? Or I rephrase it, how to stay Happy? 1. Understand that Happiness is not a destination to reach. It is in this very moment. 2. Happiness is in every moment, every breath we take. 3. No one lives a life that is problem-free even if we are now witnessing their glory. 4. Maintain healthy relationships and social connections. Retreat and declutter where & when necessary. 5. Expand inner awareness, less attachment towards exterior/material possessions. Lastly, for some, this may sound like a cliché, practise self care and self love so we can expand our mind to see the vastness of life, rather than viewing the world with our limited/conditioned headspace. How do you stay happier? For me, having self coached for years in my journey, happiness is in this moment of peace and stillness even when I am on the growing path. 🪷 Every Friday, I joined the Mental Health Strategy in ClubHouse with key moderator, Roland Ong and his community discussing various topics that helps support our mental health. #nightingale_sharonc #mentalhealth #happiness #selfcare

I recently heard a quote that really resonated with me: 'You can't control the wind, but you can adjust the sails.' This captures the essence of navigating life's challenges. It's not about what happens to us, but how we react to those events. Like a sailor subject to the whims of the wind and the fury of the waves, we can't control the external forces that buffet us, but we possess the power to adjust our sails, harnessing the winds of change in pursuit of our dreams. Reflecting on my own journey, I've faced significant struggles with mental health. There were times when the storm seemed unrelenting, and the waves threatened to capsize my boat. And it very nearly did! However, through this adversity, I discovered the importance of adjusting my sails—changing my perspective and approach to life’s challenges. Adjusting my sails meant seeking support, embracing vulnerability, and recognising that it's okay to not be okay. It's a continuous journey of self-discovery and growth, acknowledging that each day brings a new opportunity to adjust our course, sometimes by the smallest amount. If a sailor adjusts their course by just one degree every day, do you know how much their course changes? Over a month at open sea, their arrival point would end up being a completely different port. We don’t have to make big changes to have a significant impact. Small, regular changes really add up. At My Everyday Wellbeing, we promote small, regular, better choices. It's about identifying small, achievable steps that will help you in this moment and sustainably adjust your health habits for long-term positive results. Get in touch to learn more about our award-winning support. #myeverydaywellbeing #mentalhealth #change #navigatingchange #vulnerability #seekinghelp #itsoktoaskforhelp #askforhelp
