What is mindfulness? In the context of how you show up for orhers, consider not making assumptions, or judgement about anyone’s life. I told AI my life story. Everything! I wanted to get some guidance on how to share my REAL story, which is full of trigger warnings. AI removed my story and said the content violated usage policies. 😳 How can you all handle it, when AI couldn’t? It’s funny how we can go through so much trauma and then attach so much shame to it. It’s truly like adding insult to injury. I mean, I don’t have the type of trauma that people share…losing loved ones through illness and disease etc. I like to call my trauma invisible trauma… The kinda trauma that no one sees, so no one thinks to check in with you to make sure that you’re ok, like you do for them when they’re sick, or suffered some type of loss. So yes…. I look strong because I AM strong. I CHOSE to go on the Hero’s Journey.. The Hero’s journey that I cannot share… You’re just going to have to trust me when I say, that no matter what you are going through, NO…MATTER…WHAT, you CAN live your best life. My Mind-Body Lifeline I start each morning now with 20 minutes of somatic exercises - and it's become my lifeline for wellbeing. Somatic practices involve bringing present moment awareness to the body through breath, mindfulness, gentle stretching or touch. This mind-body reunion has been transformative. By tuning into physical sensations, I uncover areas of chronic tension to address with compassion. Tight hips reveal where I may be feeling stuck; clenching in my jaw taps into underlying frustrations seeking an outlet. Simple movements like shoulder rolls or neck stretches with measured breath help unlock areas of armouring, releasing the energy blocks which needs to flow again. A handy foam roller becomes a massage therapist for my knotted muscles! Over time, this daily ritual has allowed me to discharge stress, improve mobility, quiet my anxiety. I feel more at home and trusting of my body's innate wisdom. Intuition comes through clearer when I clear the noise of busy thoughts. No need for drastic endeavours - consistency with these gentle practices is key. By dedicating just 20 minutes each morning, I nourish my mind, body and spirit in ways that ripple through the whole day.
