There’s nothing like a little competition to get us fired up! Last month, H+C participated in a steps challenge with our sister agencies within Supreme Group. 👟 We walked 3,878,240 steps as an agency and 15,247,335 as an organization! 🚶♀️Congratulations to Nicole Beckstrand, Meredith Grubb and Alexandra Root for being H+C’s top walkers and averaging 10k steps/day for all of July. 📸 Everyone sent photos from their walks, which was a fun way to stay close across our distributed team. We’re all so ready for the next contest - watch out! 🏆 #StepsChallenge #AgencyLife

On being the D.E.I. (Diligence, Excellence & Imagination) hire with a spin and I am sold. John Leguizamo did an amazing job at explaining representation at this years Emmy's presentation and what it means to us, what it has evolved into and how we can further grow the representation within our fields. I have seen his "Latin History For Morons" show live and it was great too. He is a great example of resilience throughout his career and how to shift from what an industry thinks you "should" be or look like or sound like or what you "should" do into what your true calling and passion is. His insight, inspires me. Por ahora quiero ser el mejor ejemplo para las Latinas en cada industria que represento. https://lnkd.in/gvFqpGcF

Helping e-commerce brands scale their paid ads through high-converting landing pages, funnels and CRO
In addition to generating millions of $ /mo, brands like Blissy, Javy, Miracle & Jones Road have something in common. They run most of their traffic to these “pre-sales” pages. Also known as listicle. They must do it for a reason, it works. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create a banger listicle.

"Don't you know that every kick is a boost?" <- what Rue McClanahan's (Blanche Devereaux on Golden Girls) mother said after Rue was told she would never work on television. Golden Girls, of course, went on to win numerous awards and continues to play on television 40 years later. What is the lesson from this? One takeaway for me is that someone else's opinion of your capabilities is not prophetic. You CAN be successful regardless of others' opinions. Secondly, rejection and setbacks are an inevitable part of your career journey. Use these setbacks as springboards to take you to greater heights. Lastly, may we all do our best to give more boosts. Hopefully, without the kicks included. You can see the full speech here: https://lnkd.in/gz-bsF9g

PEVC professional. Business strategist and geopolitics analyst. Japan hand in Southeast Asia 東南アジアの知日派 and Southeast Asia Hand in Japan 日本の東南アジア通。
Firstly, I love the acting of John Houseman (of The Paper Chase fame, among many others). Second, I find that the relative sincerity and innocence of old commercials can be quite compelling, especially when contrasting to the crazy world of economic instability, social unrest and global geopolitical conflict today (wars and rumors of war), resulting in loads of noise overwhelming the senses and mental faculties. John Houseman appeared in 18 commercials in the 1970s and 1980s for Smith Barney, a storied Wall Street investment that is now defunct as a standalone company after being renamed Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and they were created by the equally renowned advertising agency, Ogilvy & Mather. “Smith Barney: They make money the old-fashioned way. They earn it.” Such a timeless tagline, which has become even more pertinent for me as I am now in investments. 😆 Sincere messaging like this keeps me grounded and focused, away from FOMO (fear of missing out), panic and groupthink that can be prevalent in the industry. Finally, not forgetting the man, John Houseman himself. Not many act like him anymore, in a highly measured and methodical manner providing much gravitas. He acted the old-fashioned way - he EARNED it. Some of his commercials are as per the links below. https://lnkd.in/gcETq7rn https://lnkd.in/gPc2MWuH https://lnkd.in/geQWPMTQ

Excerpt from my copula narratives: "And the predictability of one’s violence is overly complicated on such a small event. At times the normal anger issues embedded with someone are common and then a small section still of those are flipped from that state of mentally fit, to randomly killing one day with their own [or through someone else’s] weapon. We can over time simply shrug and normalize the madness of the recurring mass shooting cycles, as a response to unfit anger and polarizing discord. We can create for example, false and weak hypotheses that those killing in mass shootings are loners, or disgruntled ex-workers."

10% of my copula narratives is 4C. Mass Shootings https://lnkd.in/et9wMq2X Excerpt below: "Given American freedom and enthusiasm for gun ownership, we are now at a point where a staggering sea of Americans own not one, but multiple, ranging from handguns to assault weapons. There are many, many thousands of bad people, or potentially bad people at some future point, among them. Because of greater exposure to those who will have mental health issues, perhaps undetected, but regardless still now roaming free. Also potential people who can be silently plotting but always capable to wreak havoc in places you normally consider safe [e.g., transit stations, after-school events, shopping malls, outdoor rallies, etc.] For example, the deadliest in U.S. history occurred in 2017 by Stephen Paddock, an otherwise normal 64-year-old man, in Las Vegas. Killing 58 from a high casino hotel floor, atop a country music festival."

Over the weekend, while watching a football match of my favorite team (#ManU - Bring in the banter!), I couldn't ignore this random watermark (Mostly a bunch of digits and characters) popping on and off on the live stream. Don't get me wrong — it wasn't horrible. Still, it is equally unpleasant, especially when its on-screen location coincides with the on-field action. It made me think: Does this necessary watermark used to fight content piracy challenge the stream provider's goal of delivering a top-quality product? This brings me to a broader question —how do we balance creating customer-centric products and meeting those non-negotiable non-customer requirements? How do we ensure our products are secure, performing, and compliant while staying focused on the Customer Experience? So, what's your take on finding this delicate equilibrium? How can we create products that customers love while ticking all those necessary boxes? #RegulatoryCompliance #ProductSecurity #CustomerCentric #UserExperience #ProductDesign https://lnkd.in/dJxHPqhr
