🌟As we move into 2024, many of us are thinking about movement goals and New Year's resolutions. 🏃While it's tempting to set ambitious targets, more modest, realistic goals can be incredibly rewarding and set us up for long-term success. 💗This year, I encourage you to focus less on unattainable outcomes like losing 50 pounds or running a marathon. Instead, aim to move your body in ways that feel nourishing, at whatever pace and duration works for you today. 💛Here are some ideas for reasonable, sustainable movement goals: Walk for 10 minutes, 3 days per week Add a 10-minute yoga flow into your morning routine Challenge yourself to hit 7,500 steps daily Strength train 2 days a week, even if it's just bodyweight exercises Prioritize resting when your body needs it. 💗The key is choosing goals based on your current fitness level, not comparisons with others. If you’re stuck in procrastination mode or can’t find the motivation to work on a goal, try this super simple hack. ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ Ask yourself, “What’s the next action step?” when you just can’t get started. Instead of overwhelming yourself with a bunch of daunting tasks, just write down the first step for each one. That’s it. No grand plans, no pressure—just the starting point. For example: Not in the mood to write? → Next action: Open up your computer, and a Google Doc. Not feeling yoga? → Next action: Roll out your mat and just stand on it. Skipping the gym? → Next action: Throw on your gym clothes. The idea is to make it so easy to start that the excuses to delay don't hold up. #productivity #timemanagement #bestadvice

When it comes to crushing goals, it's not just about time management; it's about energy management. That's why I prioritize daily physical activity, aiming for as much high-intensity goodness as possible. Here's my weekly routine: 1. 🐾 Walk the dog, ball-throwing extravaganza: 30-45 minutes/day. 2. 🧘 Yoga with Peter Walters online: 2-3 times/week. 3. 🏃♂️ 3-4 mile run: Once a week. 4. 💪 High-intensity workouts with The Class With Taryn Toomey. In 2024, exercise became a non-negotiable for me, and the transformation has been real.
