Heart Health India Foundation had the pleasure of meeting with the British Society for Heart Failure (BSH) to explore how we can work together to create a positive impact for heart failure patients, both in India and the UK. The meeting highlighted key areas where both organisations can add value to the heart failure community. BSH shared their expertise in developing patient education materials and discussed the possibility of sharing these valuable resources on various platforms. Additionally, there was a strong focus on supporting early diagnosis through educational campaigns, which both organizations are keen to promote. BSH also emphasized the importance of cross-cultural engagement, suggesting that members of the Indian community in the UK participate in their programs, fostering a stronger global heart health network. We were also inspired by BSH’s ambitious “25in25” campaign, aimed at reducing heart failure mortality by 25% over the next 25 years, supported by over 60 organizations globally. We also explored the potential for patient meet-ups and healthcare professional meet-ups across borders and discussed future meetings to gain the momentum. A special thanks to the BSH team, especially Isabella and Laurence, for their insightful contributions and commitment to heart health.
