Hi LinkedIn Family! This post is going to be a little different... My first "first day" was one of the hardest days of my career. I remember sitting at my desk and feeling like I was just a character in costume, pretending to be a professional. I was a college kid with no experience or formal education in the field I was entering into. Why am I in this position? How can I deserve to be in this position? Can I really be what they think I am? I spent every day trying to prove that I was the person for the role, until I wasn't. Imposter Syndrome messed with my mental state so badly, I remember thinking, "Maybe I really didn't deserve the opportunity in the first place." That was almost 2 years ago. I look back and see how much that feeling and fear had held me back. I can now proudly say that I am who I am. I am a young professional. I am a learner. I am a leader. I am an overcomer. Grab your coffee, and let's chat about the wild ride that led me to Waverly Ave. Consulting. Lots of ups, downs, redirects, lessons, and moments of empowerment. Age 22: I graduated college with a Business degree, slightly naïve and a growing sense that maybe, just maybe, corporate life wasn't my jam. My first job was as a receptionist at a NYC advertising agency. Age 23: Said goodbye to the underpaid, overworked role for a smaller, younger…and cooler branding agency. This marked my rebellion against cubicle life. And I haven’t sat in one since! Ages 23-33: Changed roles, didn’t know what I was doing, figured it out, failed, learned, felt lost, got a promotion and started again. Did this about 3x. Age 33: Hit a wall of burnout when hustle culture got the best of me. Quit my job, took a month off to figure out what I wanted. Age 34: Started consulting to buy myself time to figure out what I wanted… it turns out, consulting was what I wanted. Launched a business and won my first few clients. Age 35: Had my highest income month to date. Had my lowest revenue month in my business. Took 8 weeks off, officially the most PTO I’ve ever had. Evolved the business, upgraded my home office, generated the most leads I’ve had for my business so far. And that’s the journey so far… Does anything about my journey surprise you?

At AllSeater, we recently conducted a survey to better understand the pain points businesses face when dealing with season tickets. One surprising complaint that emerged was the frustration of "wrong person got the right seat." It's a scenario where an intern, often with more available time, snags the most sought-after tickets first, leaving high-performing employees feeling overlooked and undervalued. Instead of being a perk, poorly managed season tickets can breed resentment among your team members, undermining morale and team cohesion. We are here to fix that.

We go somewhere new to be energized and inspired, to put away our laptops and work in an analog way, to leave space for creativity and connection.
